AI turnover inspection for Jurny

Read the photo proof attached to every completed housekeeping task, against how that unit looked before the guest arrived.

How Jurny housekeeping works

Overview

Photo proof in Jurny proves a photo exists, not that the unit is right. jOS generates the housekeeping task off real check-in and check-out data, notifies the cleaner, tracks completion and pushes the cost into the owner statement, and the photo the cleaner attaches closes the task and is never opened again. RapidEye reads that photo instead of filing it: the unit list and reservation dates come from jOS, the images come from wherever your team takes them, and what comes back is a finding per unit, tied to the stay it sits after.

Proof that gets readEvery photo attached to a completed task is compared, not archived. The completion tick stops being the only check.
Costs with evidence behind themCleaning and maintenance charges reach owner statements. Findings give each one a before photo, an after photo and the stay in between.
jOS stays the recordNo task, unit status, reservation or expense line is changed. RapidEye reads and reports.

How it works with Jurny

Jurny fires the task off the reservation, which means every set of photos already has a stay attached to it. That is the whole basis for a finding: two states of the same unit with a known guest in between.

  • The checkout clean. The task that fires when a guest leaves is the one that carries damage. A cracked cooktop, a burn on the arm of the couch, a headboard scuffed through the paint comes back with both photos and the reservation dates, in the form a claim needs.
  • Mid-stay and maintenance visits. jOS lets NIA escalate an unresolved maintenance issue. RapidEye reads the photos from the visit and says whether the thing that was escalated is actually fixed, or whether something next to it broke instead.
  • Units between bookings. A unit with a gap in the multi-calendar drifts: a borrowed air fryer, a missing second remote, a lamp moved to another apartment for a photoshoot and never returned. RapidEye names what is missing from the baseline for that unit.
  • The clean that was reported and not done. Photo proof is easy to satisfy with a tight crop of the one tidy corner. RapidEye works from the whole set and from what the room looked like last time, so a skipped bathroom or an unmade sofa bed is a finding, not a completed task.
  • Cleaner and vendor patterns. Findings carry the unit and the date, so the same missed check showing up under the same provider becomes visible without anyone building a spreadsheet.

A finding names the unit, the spot, the kind of problem, how serious it is, the two photos and a suggested next step, and lands in the RapidEye dashboard, plus a Slack channel or an inbox if you want it there. Your operations lead decides whether a cleaner goes back out. Photos are the common case, not the limit: video walkthroughs, 3D scans and an inspection format of your own are all things RapidEye reads, so a check that matters at your properties and is not in this list is something we set up with you.

How to connect Jurny to RapidEye

  1. Your units in jOS. The units and reservation dates you run, listed the way the multi-calendar shows them. Units you have paused stay paused.
  2. Where the turnover photos come from. If your cleaners already attach photo proof when they complete a housekeeping task, RapidEye reads those. If they do not, RapidEye sends a capture link that opens in any phone browser with nothing to install: a fixed set of angles per unit, lights on, taken before the unit is flipped back to ready.
  3. Give RapidEye access. Jurny publishes no self-serve path for adding an outside user, so tell us the jOS account and who administers it, and we arrange access with you.

What happens to a Jurny cleaning photo

Checked against Jurny's product documentation, September 2026.

Jurny calls its platform jOS and describes it as an AI-native operating system for hospitality, with NIA, a network of specialised agents, running guest messaging, pricing, reviews and operations across the portfolio. Housekeeping is one of those operations. According to Jurny's product documentation (jurny.com), tasks are auto-generated from real-time check-in and check-out data, cleaners and vendors get live notifications, completion is tracked with photo proof, NIA can flag and escalate unresolved maintenance, and every related expense is logged into the finance section and carried into owner statements. The company is also explicit that task creation and tracking are managed in the connected operations platform, Turno being the one it names for operators who want its cleaner marketplace, and that the two sync in real time so progress shows on the jOS dashboard.

Put in order, a turn looks like this, and the interesting part is the last panel.

AutomaticGuest checks outjOS reads the reservation and knows the unit is empty.
AutomaticTask is generatedThe clean is scheduled and the cleaner or vendor is notified.
By the cleanerPhoto proof attachedThe checklist is worked, images go on the task, completion is recorded.
NobodyNobody looksThe unit is ready, the cost lands in the statement, and the photos are only opened once a guest complains.

This is not a criticism of the design. Automation of the sort Jurny is built around removes the coordination work; it cannot remove the looking, because looking at a hundred photos per turn was never something a person had time for in the first place.

Who can see what in Jurny

Jurny's Owner Dashboard is a separate, permission-controlled portal from the full jOS platform, so an owner never sees your operation while still seeing their property. Its documentation describes owners added by email invitation, logging in by password or magic link, with access that can be paused, revoked or expired, and permissions granted per owner and per property:

  • Calendar onlyBookings and blocks for their own units, and the ability to request an owner stay that you approve or decline.
  • Financials onlyRevenue, expenses, management fee and net payout, downloadable as PDF or XLS, with cleaning and maintenance costs included.
  • Messages and calendarThe same visibility plus a direct line to you, which is where a condition dispute usually starts.
  • Full accessEverything the portal exposes, still short of the jOS platform itself.

None of those views contains a record of what the unit looked like. The expense line for a deep clean or a repair arrives without the photograph that justified it. RapidEye does not change any of that, and does not appear in the portal; what it gives you is the evidence to hand over when an owner asks why the charge is there, and the dated pair of images that answers it in one message.

Does Jurny have a public help centre?

Not one we could find. Jurny publishes product pages, a glossary and customer stories rather than a documented knowledge base, so everything above comes from its own product and solutions pages, read in September 2026. Where its pages describe a feature without describing its mechanics, we have said what the pages say and no more. If your jOS configuration differs from what is written here, tell us on the call and we will work from your account rather than from the marketing pages.

Jurny integration FAQ

Does RapidEye integrate with Jurny?

Yes. RapidEye reads your unit list and reservation dates from jOS and the turnover photos your cleaners take, and returns a finding for each unit. Tasks, statuses, calendars and owner statements in Jurny stay as they are, because RapidEye writes nothing back.

Jurny already has photo proof on cleaning tasks. What does RapidEye add?

Photo proof records that a photo was taken. It does not say whether the room in the photo is right. RapidEye reads those photos against how that unit looked before the stay and returns what changed: damage, missing items, cleaning that was skipped, staging that drifted.

Does RapidEye change task status in Jurny?

No. Nothing is written back: no task, no unit status, no reservation, no expense line. Your operations lead decides whether a cleaner goes back out, and does it in Jurny or in the task platform connected to it.

Our cleaning tasks live in Turno, not in Jurny. Does that work?

Yes, and it is the normal case. Jurny's own documentation says task creation and tracking happen in the connected operations platform and sync back to jOS in real time. RapidEye reads the photos where they are taken and the units and reservation dates from jOS, so the finding still lands on the right unit and the right stay.

Do the cleaners have to change how they work?

No. They keep completing the same task with the same checklist and the same photos. If your team does not photograph turns yet, RapidEye sends a capture link that opens in any phone browser with nothing to install.

Can owners see the findings?

Findings live in RapidEye, not in the Jurny Owner Dashboard, and nothing about your owner permissions changes. What they give you is the evidence behind a cleaning or maintenance cost before it reaches an owner statement: the before photo, the after photo and the stay in between.

Other platforms that automate the turn

Short-term rental systems built the same way: the reservation fires the task, and the photos pile up behind it.
