AI turnover inspection for Uplisting

RapidEye reads the changeover events Uplisting creates for every booking and the photos your cleaning team takes at each one, and returns a finding for every changeover marked finished.

How an Uplisting changeover works

Overview

An Uplisting changeover is a scheduling record with three buttons on it, not a record of the property's condition. Uplisting creates one for every booking, hands it to the cleaner assigned to that listing, and tracks it from pending to accepted to finished as the cleaner taps Accept, Begin and Finish. The changeover panel holds the property, the departing and arriving guest, and the owner's notes; Uplisting's help centre lists no photo field on it and describes nobody reviewing the clean. RapidEye reads the changeover, its property and its dates from Uplisting, reads the photos your cleaning team takes at that changeover, and returns one finding per problem, tied to the booking the property was just cleaned after.

Every finished changeover, readNot the ones a guest complains about. Each changeover that reaches finished, on every listing, gets its photos read.
Damage pinned to the departing guestThe changeover sits between two bookings. A new burn or crack is attributed to the guest who checked out, with the dates to prove it.
Uplisting stays the scheduleNo changeover, assignment, note or booking in Uplisting is touched. RapidEye reads and reports.

How it works with Uplisting

Uplisting builds the clean around the booking: a booking arrives, a changeover event appears on the calendar for its check-out day, the assigned cleaner gets an email, and the event changes state as the cleaner works it. RapidEye follows the same run. Each piece of the changeover is a moment when a photo can be taken, and each photo is something RapidEye reads.

  • The departing guest's stay. The changeover panel names the guest who checked out and when. Photos taken when the cleaner begins the changeover show the property as that guest left it. RapidEye compares them with the photos from the previous changeover at the same spots, so a chipped worktop or a scorch on the dining table is attributed to this booking and not the one before. A finding on a three-night stay might be one item: a cracked shower screen that was intact at the last finished changeover, both photos side by side with the check-in and check-out dates from the panel between them.
  • The finish. Tapping Finish changeover is the cleaner saying the property is ready for the guest whose name is on the next line of the panel. Photos taken just before that tap are what RapidEye reads for what a finished state cannot show: a streaked mirror, a bed made over a stained sheet, a bin liner not replaced, a hallway bulb still out. If the photo set skips a room, that is a finding too.
  • The owner's notes. Uplisting gives the account owner one free-text place on each changeover to tell the cleaner what this property needs. When a note says the travel cot goes in the second bedroom or the welcome basket holds six items, RapidEye can hold the finished photos to it: the standard is yours, the photo is the check.
  • Mid-stay and ad hoc cleans. Uplisting's help centre says these are created by adding a dummy booking whose check-out date is the day of the clean, which produces a changeover like any other. RapidEye reads the photos from those changeovers the same way, so a mid-stay clean on a two-week booking gets the same check a turnover does.
  • The same-day changeover. When the panel shows a check-out and a check-in on the same date, there is no time for anyone to walk the property. This is the changeover most worth reading, and it is read like every other.

A finding names the property and the room, what kind of problem it is (damage, cleaning, missing item, maintenance), how serious it is, the before and after photos, and a suggested next step. Findings are read in the RapidEye dashboard, or pushed to Slack or email for teams that want them there. What happens next in Uplisting is yours to decide: a note on the next changeover, a message to the guest, a deposit capture through Protect. The input can be more than a photo. A team that films a walkthrough of each property instead of shooting stills, or that has a 3D scan of each listing, or that wants findings scored against an inspection form of its own, gets that set up with us on the first call.

How to connect Uplisting to RapidEye

  1. Changeovers on every listing you want checked. In Uplisting, changeover events are created automatically for every booking that is imported, synced or created by hand, on every listing. Make sure your cleaning team is invited to the listings you want checked, by manual or automatic assignment, so each changeover has a cleaner on it. Those changeover events are what RapidEye reads.
  2. Photos from the changeover. If your cleaners already photograph each property before they tap Finish changeover, RapidEye reads those photos from wherever they land today. If they do not, a RapidEye capture link goes in the changeover notes: any phone, nothing to install, the same angles in every room, taken before the changeover is finished.
  3. Add RapidEye as a user. In Uplisting, open the Teammate page and invite Rapid Eye with the email support@rapideyeinspections.com, with access to the listings you want checked. We accept the invitation email and tell you when the first findings are ready.

Nothing changes for the cleaner: the same calendar, the same Action screen, the same three buttons, plus a few photos per room if they were not taking them already.

How an Uplisting changeover works, from booking to finished

Checked against Uplisting's help centre, September 2026.

Uplisting is a short-term rental property management system that runs Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, Google Vacation Rentals and direct bookings from one calendar, and its cleaning scheduler is built on a single object it calls the changeover event. According to Uplisting's help centre documentation (uplisting.io), a changeover event is created every time a booking is imported, synced or created by hand; when the booking's dates change the changeover is rescheduled and the cleaner is emailed the new check-out date and time, and when the booking is cancelled the changeover is removed from the cleaner's calendar and Action screen with an email saying so. Cleaners are invited to one or more listings and see a restricted version of Uplisting: the Calendar and the Action screen, with bookings visible for context but not selectable, and changeover events as the only thing they can open. Opening one shows the changeover panel.

Two ways a changeover reaches a cleanerManual assignment: the cleaner sees nothing until you assign the changeover, then gets an email. Automatic assignment: every invited cleaner with access to the listing sees and is emailed about every changeover on it. Uplisting suggests automatic when one cleaner or one group looks after a listing.
The Action screenA list view of check-ins, check-outs and changeovers over seven days, filterable to one listing, with mark checked-in and checked-out buttons. Uplisting notes it works on mobile and prints.
What the panel does not holdA photo, a checklist, or a condition field. Manually blocked dates do not reach the cleaner's calendar either; Uplisting recommends an ad hoc changeover to cover them.

The three actions, and where RapidEye reads

Uplisting gives the cleaner three actions on a changeover and colours the event on the calendar as each is taken, so the account owner can follow progress from the calendar without opening anything. The help centre names the states as pending, accepted and finished.

  1. CreatedPendingThe booking created the changeover. Until the cleaner accepts, it stays pending so the owner knows to act on it.Learns the property, the departing and arriving bookings, and who the changeover is assigned to.
  2. Action 1AcceptedThe cleaner has taken it. Nothing has happened at the property yet.Nothing to read yet.
  3. Action 2Begin changeoverThe cleaner has tapped Begin changeover and is on site.Photos taken now are read as the state the departing guest left the property in.
  4. Action 3FinishedThe cleaner has tapped Finish changeover. The property is ready for the next guest, according to the cleaner.Photos taken before this tap are read against the previous changeover and against your standard; findings come back per property.

Does Uplisting have cleaning photos or an inspection step?

Not in the changeover. Uplisting's cleaning scheduler articles describe the changeover panel's fields, the three actions, the assignment methods, the email alerts and the restricted screens a cleaner sees, and none of them describes a photo attached to a changeover, a checklist ticked inside it, or anyone reviewing the clean before the next guest arrives. Uplisting's own blog encourages photo proof of turnovers, and its help centre's guidance on disputed Protect security deposits is explicit about what wins a chargeback: timestamped photos from before the guest arrived and after they left, side by side, with the check-in and check-out records. Uplisting is telling its operators to have exactly the evidence its changeover does not collect. That is what the integration adds. The changeover already knows which property, which guest and which dates; RapidEye adds the photos, reads every one of them, and keeps the before and after pair on file for the day a guest tells their bank the damage was already there.

Uplisting integration FAQ

Does RapidEye integrate with Uplisting?

Yes. RapidEye reads the changeover events Uplisting creates for each booking, with the property, the check-out and check-in dates and the assigned cleaner, and reads the photos your cleaning team takes at that changeover. It returns a finding for every changeover marked finished: damage, a missed clean, a missing item or a maintenance issue, with the before and after photos and the booking they sit between. Your changeovers, assignments, notes and calendar in Uplisting stay as they are. RapidEye writes nothing to Uplisting.

Can cleaners attach photos to an Uplisting changeover?

Uplisting's help centre documents the changeover panel as the property name and address, the departing and arriving guest details, notes from the account owner, and three actions: accept, begin and finish. None of the cleaning scheduler articles describe a photo field on the changeover. So the photos come from wherever your team takes them today, or from a RapidEye capture link that opens on any phone with nothing to install and asks for the same angles in every room, taken before the cleaner taps Finish changeover.

Can RapidEye tell whether a changeover marked finished was actually cleaned?

Yes, from the photos. In Uplisting, finished is a state the cleaner sets by tapping Finish changeover, so it records that the cleaner said the property is ready. RapidEye reads the photos taken at that changeover and reports what they show: a bed made over a stained sheet, a bin not emptied, a light out, a room with no photo at all. The finding names the property and the changeover, so you know which one to walk.

Does RapidEye help with an Uplisting Protect security deposit dispute?

It produces the evidence Uplisting's own dispute guidance asks for. Uplisting's help centre recommends timestamped photos from before the guest's arrival and after their departure, side by side, when you capture a deposit through Protect and the guest disputes it. RapidEye keeps the photo of each spot from the previous changeover and pairs it with the photo from this one, with the booking dates between them, so the comparison exists on the day you need it rather than being reconstructed weeks later.

Does RapidEye change anything in Uplisting?

No. RapidEye does not create or reschedule changeovers, change a changeover's state, reassign cleaners, edit notes or touch bookings. It reads and reports. Findings show up in the RapidEye dashboard, and can be routed to Slack or an inbox on request. What you do next in Uplisting, whether that is a note on the next changeover or a deposit capture through Protect, is your decision.

Like Uplisting, each of these turns a booking into a job for the cleaner; RapidEye reads whatever that job collects.
