AI turnover inspection for Hostify
RapidEye reads the step photos your team uploads in the Hostify Task App and returns a finding for every task marked complete, tied to the property and the reservation that generated it.
How a Hostify task is completedOverview
A completed Hostify task proves a cleaner walked each step and pressed Complete; it does not prove what the property looked like when they left. The task carries the property, the template it came from, a checklist of steps, a timer, and the description or photo the cleaner attached to each step, plus optional comments, expenses and a damage report. Hostify collects all of that and shows it back on the Tasks dashboard and the Activity feed. Nothing in Hostify opens the photo and says what is in it. RapidEye does: it reads the step photos alongside the property and the reservation the automation fired on, and returns one finding per problem, new damage, cleaning that was missed, an item that is no longer there, with the before and after frames side by side.
How it works with Hostify
Hostify builds the turnover out of a template: the template holds the checklist, the type (General, Cleaning, Maintenance or Inspection) and the priority, an automation turns it into a task on a reservation, and the housekeeper or the team works it in the Task App. RapidEye reads the shape you have already built rather than asking you to build another one.
- The template steps become the standard. A template step can carry its own reference photo and a required action, so the step already says what right looks like on your properties. RapidEye reads the cleaner's photo for that step against it: bed dressed, worktop clear, four towels on the rail rather than two.
- Cleaning tasks that fire before the next reservation. The stay that just ended sits between the last set of step photos and today's. A cracked shower screen or a scorched worktop comes back as a finding with both frames and the reservation between them, rather than as a question three guests later.
- Inspection tasks. An inspection type task is a second person agreeing with the first. RapidEye turns it into a second opinion: the photos get read against the last known good state of the same property, so the inspector is sent to the unit that needs walking rather than to all of them.
- Maintenance and recurring tasks. Automations can run on a recurring schedule as well as on a reservation. A monthly maintenance task photographed on the day surfaces the loose handrail, the dead bulb and the water stain that is bigger than last month.
- Steps that came back empty. Hostify lets a step be completed with a text description instead of a photo. A run of tasks where the same room is only ever described, never photographed, is itself a finding worth having.
Each finding names the property and the room, where in the room it is, what kind of problem it is, how serious it is, the before and after photos and the time they were taken, plus a suggested next step. You read findings in the RapidEye dashboard; a Slack channel or inbox can mirror them. What happens next in Hostify is yours: a maintenance task for the handyman, a note for the owner, a charge against the guest. Photos are the easiest place to start, not the boundary. Teams that film a walkthrough instead of shooting stills, that keep 3D scans of each unit, or that want findings scored against an inspection standard of their own, get that set up with us on the first call.
How to connect Hostify to RapidEye
- An active task automation. In Hostify, open Tasks and then Automations and check that your cleaning automation is active. Every reservation then generates a task on the right property, before check-in, before check-out, or before the next reservation, and that task is what RapidEye reads.
- Photos on the task steps. Your team completes each step in the Hostify Task App with a description or a photo before pressing Complete, and those step photos are what RapidEye reads. If your team uploads no photos today, a RapidEye capture link goes on the task instead: any phone, no app, the same angles per room every turnover.
- Add RapidEye as a user. In Hostify, go to Settings and then Users, use the New User button, and add Rapid Eye with the email support@rapideyeinspections.com. Assign the Housekeeper role, which Hostify documents as access to the housekeeping module, and leave the listing access covering the properties you want read.
That is the whole setup. Your cleaners keep the app they already have on their phone, the dashboard keeps the same board, and the findings start arriving as tasks close.
How a Hostify task is completed, step by step
Checked against Hostify's help centre, September 2026.
According to Hostify's help centre documentation (hostify.com), the Task App is for cleanings, maintenance and inspections, and it is open to Administrators, Managers and Housekeepers signing in with their Hostify credentials. A housekeeper opening it sees their work split into Today, Tomorrow and Overdue; tasks in Tomorrow are there to be looked at, not started. The completion flow is where the photos come from, and it is stricter than most people expect.
- Open the task from Today or OverdueTomorrow's tasks can be viewed but not started.no photo
- Press Start TimerHostify begins tracking working time on the task.no photo
- Work each checklist stepA step is completed with a text description, a photo, or both.read
- Press CompleteThe completion details are recorded against the task.findings
- Add a comment, an expense or a damage reportOptional, and Hostify keeps the task open to edits for 24 hours after completion.context
A step completed with a description alone leaves nothing to check. A step completed with a photo leaves everything to check, and until now nobody was checking.
What the rest of the task can and cannot prove
Hostify surrounds the checklist with fields that each answer a different question, and it helps to be honest about which question. The Task App also groups people: a task can be assigned to a whole team, and Hostify documents that it disappears from the other members' boards as soon as one of them starts it, with supervisors able to reassign. That tells you who held the phone. It does not tell you what the phone saw.
Does Hostify check the photos your cleaners upload?
No, and it does not claim to. Hostify's own description of the feature is photo uploads for visual confirmation of completion, with the manager getting a bird's eye view of tasks, real time progress and reports to export. Every one of those is about the task: assigned, started, closed, how long it took, what it cost. The help centre walks a cleaner through uploading a photo to a task and a manager through monitoring progress on the dashboard and the Activity feed, and nowhere does anything or anyone look at what the photo contains. That is a fair design decision by Hostify, and it is exactly the gap RapidEye fills. The evidence is already being collected on every task in your account. The integration is the part that reads it, every time, and tells you what it shows.
Hostify integration FAQ
Does RapidEye integrate with Hostify?
Yes. RapidEye reads the photos your team uploads against the steps of a task in the Hostify Task App, along with the property and the reservation the task was generated from, and returns a finding for every task marked complete: new damage, cleaning that was missed, an item that is gone. Your templates, automations, assignments, teams and task history in Hostify stay exactly as they are. RapidEye writes nothing back.
Who looks at the photos uploaded in the Hostify Task App?
In Hostify, a person does. The help centre documents uploading a photo to a task for visual confirmation of completion and viewing task progress on the dashboard and in the Activity feed, and none of it describes anything checking what the photo shows. At twenty properties a manager can open them. At two hundred, on a Saturday, nobody does. That is the job RapidEye takes.
Do my cleaners have to change how they use the Hostify Task App?
No. They keep opening the task from Today or Overdue, starting the timer, and adding a description or a photo to each step before pressing Complete. The one habit worth adding is the same set of angles per room every time, with the lights on, so each turnover photographs the same spots. Teams that upload no photos today can put a RapidEye capture link on the task instead; it opens in the phone browser with nothing to install.
Can RapidEye use the damage report field on a Hostify task?
It reads the photos rather than the field. Hostify lets a team member file a damage report, a comment or an expense inside the task, and Hostify keeps tasks editable for 24 hours after completion so those can be added late. A damage report only exists if the cleaner noticed and chose to file it. RapidEye starts from the photo, so the chipped worktop nobody reported is still a finding, and where a damage report was filed the photos back it up.
Does RapidEye change tasks, templates or automations in Hostify?
No. Hostify stays the system of record for the schedule. It creates the tasks from your automations, assigns them to a housekeeper or a team, and holds the completion history. RapidEye reads and reports, and you decide what happens next: a maintenance task for the handyman, a note for the owner, a charge against the guest.
Does this work for inspection and maintenance tasks as well as cleaning?
Yes. Hostify's task types are General, Cleaning, Maintenance and Inspection, and RapidEye reads the photos on any of them. A monthly maintenance task photographed on the day tells you about the loose railing or the spreading water stain long before a guest does, and an inspection task becomes a second opinion rather than a second signature.
