Overview

eZee is unusual among small-hotel PMSs: it lets you invent your own housekeeping statuses. A status in eZee is a name you type, a colour you pick, and a checkbox saying whether it counts as dirty, which means one hotel's board reads Dirty and Clean while another runs Inspection, Deep Cleaning and a status for the linen change. What no version of that board can do is show you the room. RapidEye reads the room list, the unit list and the stay dates from eZee and the photos your housekeepers take, and returns a finding per problem against whichever of your statuses means the work is finished.

How it works with eZee

eZee's housekeeping day has a few fixed moments, and the checks hang off those. What is listed here is the usual shape of it, not the edge of what can be looked at.

• A room set clean, one at a time or in bulk. On the House Status screen a supervisor can select every dirty room, choose Set Status, pick clean and hit Apply, which is thirty rooms passing quality control in one click. RapidEye reads the photos behind each of those rooms and names the ones the click was wrong about.
• A work order closed in the mobile app. The housekeeper opens the app, sees the assigned order, and marks it complete. RapidEye reads what the room looked like at that moment: the bed, the bathroom, the surfaces at eye level and the ones nobody looks at.
• A room coming out of Maintenance Block. eZee lets you set what a room's status becomes when it is unblocked, so an Out of Order room can return marked clean without anyone walking it. RapidEye holds the photo from the day it was blocked next to the photo from the day it came back.
• The night audit flip. Housekeeping Settings decide whether occupied rooms read clean or dirty after night audit. Whichever you chose, the status was set by a job rather than a person, and RapidEye is reading the photos rather than the flag.
• Units, not just rooms. The lobby, the gym, the laundry, the public washroom. Anything you have added as a Unit and assigned to a housekeeper gets checked against the standard you hold that space to.
• Damage tied to a stay. eZee knows who was in the room and for which nights. A finding arrives with the photo before and the photo after and those dates between them, which is what a charge needs behind it.

Each finding names the room or unit, the spot, the type of problem, how serious it is, the photos that show it, and a suggested next step. It lands in the RapidEye dashboard and, if you want it there, a Slack channel or the front office inbox. You decide whether the room goes back to dirty or into a block. If your team documents rooms some other way, video walkthroughs or 3D scans, or you want findings judged against your own brand standard rather than a general one, that is a setup conversation and not a limit; tell us what you shoot and what you want judged.

How to connect eZee to RapidEye

1. Your eZee rooms and units. An eZee account with the rooms you clean on the House Status screen, plus any Units you have added for non-room spaces. Tell us which of your housekeeping statuses mean the work is finished, including any you created yourself.
2. Where the photos come from. The eZee housekeeping screens carry statuses, remarks and work orders rather than images, so RapidEye sends a capture link that opens on any phone with nothing to install. A fixed set of angles per room, lights on, shot before the status is changed. Teams that already photograph rooms in another app keep doing that; RapidEye reads those photos.
3. Add RapidEye as a user. In eZee, go to Configuration and open User Management, then add RapidEye as a new user. The connect panel on this page has the name, the email and the privileges to tick.

How eZee housekeeping is built, from the status up

Most PMSs hand you a fixed set of housekeeping statuses. eZee hands you a form. According to the eZee help centre documentation (yanoljacloudsolution.com), you reach it from the menu at Housekeeping, then House Status, then Settings, then the plus icon beside housekeeping status, and what you fill in is this.

That design is genuinely useful and it has one consequence worth saying out loud. Because a status is just a label plus a sellable flag, a status named Inspection carries no inspection with it. Nothing is recorded when a room passes through it, nothing has to be shown, and the room becomes sellable the moment somebody moves it along. The rest of the module is built the same way.

What each part of the module holds, and what it can prove

Can a housekeeper attach a photo to a room in eZee?

Not in the housekeeping flow. The help centre's housekeeping articles cover the dashboard counts, the Stayview update, the settings, creating a Housekeeper user, setting up units, assigning housekeepers, bulk status changes, maintenance blocks, and completing tasks in the mobile app, and none of them describes attaching an image to a room, a task or a status. The documented capability of the mobile app is precise and short: view assigned work orders, mark assigned orders as completed, update the status of rooms to clean, dirty or inspected. Image uploads do exist in eZee, but in the booking engine, for room type pictures and hotel banners, which are photographs of the room at its best rather than a record of the room today. So the honest reading is that eZee runs the housekeeping day well and takes the housekeeper's word for the result. RapidEye is the part that looks, on every room, and tells you when the word and the room disagree.
