AI room inspection for roomMaster
Put a room check behind every status update in roomMaster Housekeeping: RapidEye reads your attendants' photos and returns a finding for every room set to vacant clean or inspected.
How roomMaster Housekeeping worksOverview
In roomMaster, a room status is a tap, not a look. The Housekeeping module assigns the day's rooms, puts each attendant's list in the Mobile Worker App, and syncs a status change to the front desk the moment it is made, so a room can be sold again seconds after the housekeeper taps done. What roomMaster does not hold is any record of what the room looked like at that moment; photos live only on maintenance items, when someone chooses to log one. RapidEye reads the room list, the assignments and the reservation dates from roomMaster, and the photos your attendants take in each room, then returns a finding for every room set to vacant clean or inspected, tied to the room, the housekeeper and the stay that just ended.
How it works with roomMaster
roomMaster Housekeeping runs the day in a fixed order: assignments are published in the morning, the Mobile Worker App works each attendant's To-do list down, the Main Housekeeping Dashboard shows the house turning from dirty to clean to inspected, and the Performance Reporting Dashboard says afterwards how long it all took. RapidEye slots into that order at the one point where the room itself is in front of a phone.
- Checkouts on the assignment. Between the last clean photos of a room and today's, a guest stayed there, and roomMaster holds the dates. A burn on the desk, a broken lamp shade or a stained armchair comes back as a finding with both photos and that reservation between them, which is the record a damage fee needs.
- Stayovers. A stayover service is the quickest visit of the day and the easiest to shorten. A photo of the bed and the bathroom at the end of the service tells you whether it was a service or a glance: bed not remade, bin not emptied, towels still on the floor.
- The tap to vacant clean. This is the status the front desk sells on. RapidEye reads the room's photos at that moment for what a status cannot carry: a streaked mirror, a hair on the pillow, a lamp that is out, a kettle that has walked to another room.
- Rooms marked inspected. Where your supervisors inspect, the inspected status records that they came by. RapidEye reads the same photos and lists whatever the inspection missed, so the supervisor's time goes to the two rooms that need it rather than the twenty that do not.
- Maintenance items with photos. roomMaster's maintenance tracking is where photos already live. RapidEye reads those too, so a leaking tap logged on Tuesday and a photo of the same vanity on Friday become one dated record of the repair.
- Out of order and on hold. A room parked out of order for a week comes back into inventory with nobody having looked at it since the repair. The first photo after it returns is checked against the last one before it left.
Every finding names the room, the spot, the type of problem, how serious it is, the photo with the last known photo of the same spot beside it, and a suggested next step. It lands in the RapidEye dashboard and, if you want, in a Slack channel or your executive housekeeper's inbox. What happens in roomMaster is your call: a comment on the Room Details panel, a maintenance item, a status flipped back to vacant dirty. Photos are one input, not the only one. Hotels that walk rooms on video, that hold a 3D scan of each room type, or that want findings scored against their own brand standard or inspection form, set that up with us on the first call.
How to connect roomMaster to RapidEye
- A roomMaster account with Housekeeping in use. Have a roomMaster account where the day's rooms are assigned in the Housekeeping module, whether through the Smart Auto-Assignment Wizard or by hand, and attendants update status in the Mobile Worker App. That assignment is what ties each photo to a room and a housekeeper.
- Room photos from your attendants. roomMaster carries photos on maintenance items, not on the clean itself, so RapidEye sends a capture link that opens on any phone with nothing to install: a fixed set of angles per room, lights on, taken before the status is set to vacant clean. Photos already logged on roomMaster maintenance items are read too.
- Add RapidEye as a user. Add Rapid Eye as a user in your roomMaster account with the email support@rapideyeinspections.com. RapidEye accepts the invite and emails you when the first findings are ready.
Attendants keep the same app and the same list. The only new habit is a few photos before the tap.
How roomMaster Housekeeping runs a day
Checked against roomMaster's product pages and published guides, September 2026.
roomMaster (the company began as InnQuest Software, and the two names were merged under roomMaster) is a hotel management platform for independent hotels, hotel groups, motels, resorts, bed and breakfasts, hostels and parks, with housekeeping built into the PMS rather than sold as a separate product. According to roomMaster's product documentation (roommaster.com), the Housekeeping module exists to end the walk to the front desk: the attendant finishes a room, taps a status in the app, and the front desk sees it instantly. Everything below is what that day is made of, and what each screen records.

Smart Auto-Assignment WizardMorning. Colour-coded room statuses show which rooms are clean, dirty, inspected or out of order; staff assignments sit beside them; a bulk action toolbar updates many rooms at once. The Room Details panel holds task details, guest information, special instructions and comments, which roomMaster positions as the replacement for handwritten notes.RecordsStatus, assignee, and whatever someone typed. What it cannot showA comment says "extra pillows left"; it cannot say whether the pillows are there, or whether the headboard behind them is scuffed.

The fastest attendant on the report and the one whose rooms draw complaints can be the same person, and the report cannot tell you.

Room statuses in roomMaster
roomMaster lists its statuses plainly so that the team and the PMS speak the same language. The housekeeping product page names six; the housekeeping dashboard described in roomMaster's guide adds inspected as a colour on the board.
Colours here follow the conventional housekeeping palette (ready in green, dirty in red, held in amber) rather than roomMaster's exact swatches, which its public pages do not reproduce.
Does roomMaster take photos when a room is marked clean?
No, not on the clean. roomMaster's housekeeping page describes real-time status updates, task assignment, maintenance tracking, lost and found logging and reporting, and its housekeeping guide describes the Mobile Worker App's To-do and Done lists and the comments on the Room Details panel. None of those pages describes a photo attached to a room status or a clean. Where photos do appear in roomMaster's own material is maintenance: its maintenance software guide describes photo-based work orders and issue reporting, so that a housekeeper who sees a cracked tile can flag it with a picture and engineering gets the work order with the photo attached. So a roomMaster status is a statement that the work was finished, made by the person who finished it, and the only photos in the system are of the problems someone chose to report. That is exactly the gap: RapidEye supplies photos of the whole room at the moment of the tap, reads them, and turns vacant clean from a claim into a checked claim.
roomMaster integration FAQ
Does RapidEye integrate with roomMaster?
Yes. RapidEye reads the room list, the day's assignments and the reservation dates from roomMaster Housekeeping, and the photos your room attendants take, then returns a finding for every room set to vacant clean or inspected: damage, a missed clean, a missing item, a maintenance issue, each with the photo and the room. Room statuses, assignments, comments and reservations in roomMaster are not changed.
Does roomMaster Housekeeping store photos of the room?
Not on the clean. roomMaster's own material describes photos on maintenance work orders and issue reports, so a housekeeper who spots a cracked tile can log it with a picture. The status update itself, vacant dirty to vacant clean in the Mobile Worker App, carries no photo. RapidEye reads the maintenance photos where they exist and supplies a capture link for the rest of the room.
Can RapidEye check a room that roomMaster shows as inspected?
Yes. In roomMaster, inspected is a status a supervisor sets after looking at the room, and on a full house the look is quick. RapidEye reads the photos taken in that room and either agrees or lists what the walk missed: a hair dryer gone from the drawer, a scuff on the headboard that was not there last week, a bathroom light out. The finding names the room and the housekeeper it was assigned to.
Will RapidEye change room statuses or assignments in roomMaster?
No. roomMaster stays the system the front desk trusts. RapidEye does not set a status, edit an assignment from the Smart Auto-Assignment Wizard, post a comment in the Room Details panel or create a maintenance item. Findings arrive in the RapidEye dashboard, and in a Slack channel or inbox if you want them there, and your executive housekeeper decides what happens in roomMaster.
Does this work for a hotel group running several properties on roomMaster?
Yes. roomMaster gives groups one login across properties, and RapidEye follows the same shape: each property's rooms and assignments are read separately, findings are grouped by property, and a regional manager sees every hotel's day on one screen without asking each executive housekeeper how it went.
