AI inspections for Yardi Senior Living
Read every photo your community captures, not only the ones attached to a work order somebody already opened, and get a dated condition finding for each apartment and common area on your Voyager Senior Housing unit list.
How Yardi records condition todayOverview
A Yardi work order is a very good record of a problem somebody noticed, which is a different thing from a record of the building. The Senior Living Suite carries the community: Voyager Senior Housing holds the census, the ledger and the maintenance and procurement tools, RentCafe Senior Living Portal lets residents and their families raise service requests that flow into the maintenance modules, and the maintenance layer photographs and documents the work once it is under way. Every one of those starts with a person deciding something is worth reporting. RapidEye reads the unit list and move dates from Voyager Senior Housing and the photos your team captures across apartments, corridors and shared spaces, and returns a finding per space, whether or not anyone raised a request for it.
How it works with Yardi Senior Living
Yardi's own maintenance shapes give the integration its anchor points, so the findings arrive already attached to the unit and the date your team works from.
- Work order photos. Yardi documents that photos captured in the maintenance mobile app are timestamped and tied to the work order automatically. RapidEye reads the before and the after and says whether the finished job matches the request, and what else is visible in the frame that nobody wrote down.
- Inspections. Scheduled and recurring inspections produce observations with ratings. RapidEye reads the photos taken on the same walk and returns its own findings alongside, so the inspector's judgement and the image agree or they do not.
- Unit turns between residents. The apartment is released, painted, patched and cleaned, and Voyager's accounting moves on. RapidEye compares the empty apartment to how it looked when the resident arrived: the scraped skirting, the missing closet rail, the bathroom door that no longer closes.
- Housekeeping and room readiness. Daily and weekly cleans in occupied apartments have no work order behind them at all. Photographed on a phone, they come back as findings: the untouched bathroom, the bulb out since last month, the bin nobody emptied.
- Environment-of-care rounds. The corridors and shared rooms a family tours and a surveyor walks. These are where wear accumulates invisibly, because nothing in the building's paperwork is scoped to them until something breaks.
- Resident and family service requests. Requests raised in RentCafe Senior Living Portal flow into the maintenance modules. A condition finding from the same week gives whoever picks the request up a picture of the room before they walk to it.
A finding carries the community, the unit or common area, the spot in the room, the problem type, a severity, both photos and a suggested next step. It lands in the RapidEye dashboard, and in a Slack channel or inbox for the maintenance office if you want one. Nothing is written back into Yardi: your team decides whether a finding becomes an observation, a work order or a charge. If your community documents with video walkthroughs or 3D scans instead of stills, or wants findings scored against a standard of its own, that is something we set up with you rather than an edge you have to design around.
How to connect Yardi Senior Living to RapidEye
- The Voyager Senior Housing account. A Yardi Senior Living account with your communities and their units set up in Voyager Senior Housing. RapidEye works from the same unit numbers your census and billing already use, across independent living, assisted living and memory care.
- Where the photos come from. If your technicians work in the Yardi Maintenance mobile app, the photos on work orders and inspections are already timestamped and tied to the unit, and RapidEye reads those. For common areas and housekeeping rounds that carry no work order, RapidEye sends a capture link that opens on any phone with no app to install.
- The invite. Tell us the Yardi account and which communities to start with, and add RapidEye as a user. The Connect panel on this page has the name and email to use.
How Yardi records the condition of a community
Checked against Yardi's senior living and maintenance product pages, September 2026.
According to Yardi's product documentation (yardi.com), the Senior Living Suite is built around Voyager Senior Housing, which unifies community management, financial accounting and business oversight on one database, with full general ledger accounting, resident billing and census, and tools for maintenance, document management, procurement, reporting and performance analytics. Around it sit Senior CRM, Senior IQ, EHR, eMAR, RentCafe Wellness, the RentCafe Senior Living Portal and payment processing. The physical building is handled on the maintenance side, which Yardi describes as the maintenance layer running work orders, inspections, procurement and resident communication on the same platform as leasing, accounting and resident records.
That maintenance layer is unusually thorough about evidence, and it is worth being precise about what each part of it establishes.
Objects and behaviours as documented on Yardi's product pages. The lower half of each row is the question the integration answers.
Yardi already reads work order photos with AI. Why add RapidEye?
Because they run at opposite ends of the same job. Yardi's documentation is explicit about what its AI does: AI image analysis reviews an uploaded photo and drafts a diagnostic summary, technician notes are rewritten into clear language, and the resident sees something consistent regardless of who typed it. Every one of those makes an existing work order better. RapidEye works before that point. It reads the whole photographic record of a community, apartment by apartment and corridor by corridor, against how those same spaces looked the last time anyone photographed them, and produces the finding that becomes the work order. A community running both ends up with the discovery and the documentation covered, which is more than either does alone.
Yardi Senior Living integration FAQ
Does RapidEye integrate with Yardi Senior Living?
Yes. RapidEye reads the unit list and the move dates from Voyager Senior Housing, and the apartment and common-area photos your team captures, then returns a condition finding per space: damage, a missed clean, a missing item, a maintenance issue, with the earlier photo beside the new one. Nothing is written back. Work orders, inspections, resident charges and the census stay under your team's control in Yardi.
Yardi already reviews work order photos with AI. What does RapidEye add?
Different job at a different moment. Yardi documents AI image analysis that reads a photo a technician uploads and drafts a diagnostic summary for that work order, which is the fastest way to document a problem someone has already found. RapidEye is the pass that happens when nobody has found anything: it reads every photo from every space, compares it to how that space looked before, and produces the finding that starts the work order rather than describing one.
Can RapidEye read photos from the Yardi Maintenance mobile app?
That is the easiest setup. Yardi documents that technicians capture photos in the mobile app with or without a connection and that photos are timestamped and tied to the work order automatically, so the unit, the date and the author are already attached. RapidEye reads those. Where a space has no work order behind it, a RapidEye capture link opens on any phone with no app to install.
Does RapidEye touch resident health records or care data?
No. RapidEye reads the condition of spaces, fixtures, furniture and equipment. Yardi EHR, eMAR and everything clinical in the Senior Living Suite are out of scope and stay that way.
Will RapidEye create work orders or post resident charges in Yardi?
No. Yardi documents that a flagged damage observation creates a resident charge from the configured charge code automatically, and that stays entirely a Yardi decision made by your team. RapidEye reads photos and reports what they show. Your manager decides whether a finding becomes an inspection observation, a work order, a charge, or nothing.
We only photograph corridors and common areas on monthly walks. Is that enough?
Yes, and those walks are usually where the first month of findings comes from, because dining rooms, tub rooms, corridors and laundries carry the wear that no unit turn ever surfaces. Photos, video walkthroughs and 3D scans all work as input, and findings are scored against whatever standard your community already holds itself to.
