AI condition checks for Nourish Care

RapidEye reads the photos your team logs against cleaning schedules, maintenance requests and audits in the Nourish app, and returns a finding for each issue with the room named and the earlier photo beside it.

How a Nourish audit turns into an action

Overview

Nourish already collects the photograph; nothing in a care system is built to look at it twice. Nourish is a UK care management platform for residential, home and children's services, and its own product page says cleaning schedules, activity participation and maintenance requests can be logged and photographed in the Nourish app so the whole team stays in the loop. That is a genuinely useful habit, and most care systems do not have it. What no system does is compare the photo of room 12's bathroom taken today with the one taken in March, which is the only way condition drift becomes visible before a family or an inspector sees it. RapidEye reads those photos, files each finding against the room, and returns what changed.

The photo gets readEvery photo logged against a clean, a maintenance request or a walk round, not a sample of them.
A dated record per roomWhen a mark first appeared, what was done, and whether it came back.
Nourish stays the care recordNo interaction, care plan, audit answer or action is written by RapidEye.

How it works with Nourish Care

Nourish organises a service around what gets recorded at the point of care, with an audit and action layer above it. The building work sits alongside that, done by housekeeping, maintenance and the manager on a walk round, and it is where the photos worth reading come from.

  • Cleaning schedules. A room logged as cleaned is a person saying it was cleaned. RapidEye reads the photo against the last one of the same room: the bathroom that was skipped, a bin left full, the shower screen going the same way it went last quarter.
  • Maintenance requests. A photo when the request is raised and a photo when it is signed off makes a closed request into a repair with evidence. Where the same fitting keeps returning, that pattern is a finding of its own.
  • Audits and the walk round. An audit answer is a judgment made in the moment by whoever is holding the tablet. RapidEye reads the photos attached to it and says what they show, so a yes is either confirmed or contradicted before it goes into an action plan.
  • Room turnaround between residents. When a room changes hands it is stripped, cleaned and made ready quickly. Comparing today's photos with the room before the tenancy turns what needs repainting, repairing or replacing into a list rather than a memory.
  • Shared spaces and hazards. Lounges, dining rooms, corridors, stairwells and laundry. Blocked exit routes, a handrail off the wall, a trailing cable, a failed light, water where it should not be.

Each finding names the room and the spot, the kind of problem, how bad it is, the earlier and current photos, and a suggested next step. It lands in the RapidEye dashboard and, if you want it there, an inbox or a channel for the home manager and the maintenance lead. What happens next inside Nourish is the manager's decision, always. Photos are the usual input rather than the only one: a service that films a phone walkthrough, holds scans of its units, or wants findings scored against its own premises checklist gets that set up with us.

How to connect Nourish Care to RapidEye

  1. The room list. The rooms, bathrooms and shared spaces in the home, however your floor plan numbers them. Findings are filed against a room and never against a person.
  2. Where the photos come from. The building photos your team already takes, including the ones logged against cleaning schedules and maintenance requests in the Nourish app. Where a home logs maintenance on paper or in a facilities system instead, the photos can come from there, or from a RapidEye capture link that opens in any phone browser with nothing to install and asks for a fixed set of angles per room.
  3. Access for RapidEye. Tell us you run Nourish and which homes are in scope. We set access up with your team and your Nourish contact. Carers install nothing, and their day does not change.

How a Nourish audit turns into an action

Checked against Nourish Care's product documentation, September 2026.

According to Nourish's own product documentation (nourishcare.com), the audit and improvement layer is Nourish Confidence, which brings audits, actions and improvement opportunities into one platform and sits either on top of the Better Care care planning products or alongside Nourish Safety for incident management. Nourish describes a maintained suite of adaptable audit templates with scheduling and assignment, the ability to build your own audits from scratch, and three answer types: yes or no, numeric, and free text. Crucially, the service defines which answers should trigger an action, and the Action Tracker then centralises actions raised from audits, events and inspections so nothing is lost. Audit Oversight sits above that as one hub to plan and track audits across services, and it shows governance which audits are most commonly finding issues.

A premises line on an audit
Is the resident bathroom clean and free of damage?Yes or no, answered by whoever is holding the tabletYesNo
How many lights are out in the room?Numeric, counted at the time of the walk0
Anything else to note about the room?Free text, as much or as little as the day allowsNothing noted
A no, or a number above the threshold you set, triggers an action into the Action Tracker. A yes closes the line. RapidEye reads the photographs of the same room and returns a finding whether the line said yes or no, so the answer has something to stand on.

Answer types and the action trigger are as Nourish documents them. The room, the wording and the thresholds are yours; the bottom row is what the integration adds.

Where the rest of the Nourish products sit

Nourish names its products in plain words, and each one owns a different question about the service.

Nourish Better CareCare planning and recording: contextual care plans, assessments, a handover screen, offline access, and configurable interactions built with the service.
Nourish SafetyIncident management: point of care event capture, care specific workflows for wounds, falls and behaviours, a live event tracker and configurable notifications.
Nourish ConfidenceAudits, action tracking and AI supported care plan improvement opportunities, with leadership dashboards that evidence improvement for regulators.
Nourish Insights and TransparencyReporting and oversight across the group, and aligning needs, staffing and funding as they change.

Can you attach photos to work in the Nourish app?

Yes, and that is unusual. Nourish's product page states that cleaning schedules, activity participation and maintenance requests can be logged and photographed in the Nourish app, keeping all members of the team in the loop, and its residential care pages describe records that are time stamped and attributable with audit trails behind them. So the evidence exists, dated and attached to the right work, in a service that also runs its audits and actions in the same place. What the platform does not claim to do, and what no care system does, is compare one photograph with the one taken of the same corner three months ago. That comparison is where damage, drift and repeat failures live, and it is the whole of what RapidEye adds here.

Nourish Care integration FAQ

Does RapidEye integrate with Nourish Care?

Yes. RapidEye reads the photos your team already takes on the building side of the service, including the ones logged against cleaning schedules and maintenance requests in the Nourish app, and returns a finding per issue: damage, cleaning that was missed, a missing item, a hazard, with the earlier and current photos of the same spot and the room named. Care records, care plans and interactions in Nourish are not read for care content and nothing is written back.

Can you photograph a maintenance request in the Nourish app?

Yes. Nourish's own product page says cleaning schedules, activity participation and maintenance requests can be logged and photographed in the Nourish app so the whole team stays in the loop. Those photos are the exact input RapidEye reads. Where a home logs maintenance somewhere else, on paper or in a facilities system, the photos can come from there or from a RapidEye capture link instead.

Does RapidEye read care records or anything about residents?

No. RapidEye looks at rooms, bathrooms, corridors and shared spaces, not at people. It uses the room or unit so a finding can be routed and compared over time. Care plans, assessments, body maps, eMAR and daily records stay inside Nourish, and RapidEye makes no judgment about care.

How does this help with a CQC inspection?

Premises and equipment are part of what an inspector looks at, and the honest answer is usually that a home knows the state of its building from memory and a walk round. RapidEye gives every room a dated photographic record with each issue named, when it was first visible and what was done about it, which is the same kind of evidence a manager already assembles by hand before an inspection.

Does the team need another app?

No. Carers, housekeepers and maintenance staff keep working in the Nourish app or however they work now, offline included. The only thing that helps is photographing the same fixed set of angles in a room each time so the same spots can be compared. For a team with no photo habit yet, a RapidEye capture link opens in a phone browser with nothing to install.

Will RapidEye change anything in Nourish?

No. Nourish stays the care record and the audit trail. RapidEye writes no interaction, no care plan, no audit answer and no action. Findings land in the RapidEye dashboard and, if you want them there, in an inbox or a channel for the home manager and the maintenance lead.

Other care management systems RapidEye works with

Each of these runs the care record for a home; RapidEye reads the photos of the building it sits in.
