AI turnover checks for Eviivo
Every unit your housekeeper marks as cleaned on the Eviivo Cleaning Dashboard, read from the changeover photos and reported back against the booking either side of it.
What the Cleaning Dashboard recordsOverview
The Eviivo Cleaning Dashboard is a rota with a feedback channel, not a record of condition. It shows which units are clean and which are not, who is assigned to each one, whether a changeover is coming, whether maintenance is needed and whether an inventory is due, and it gives the housekeeper a phone to answer back from. What it does not carry is an image of the unit at the moment the housekeeper marked it cleaned. RapidEye reads that: the unit list and booking dates come from Eviivo, the photos come from your cleaners, and back comes a finding per unit, dated and attached to the stay that just ended.
How it works with Eviivo
The Cleaning Dashboard already sorts each day into the questions a manager needs answered, and each of those questions has a photographic answer somebody is not currently looking at. The checks follow the dashboard's own columns.
- Which units are clean and which are not. This is the column the whole business runs on and the one with no evidence behind it. RapidEye reads the photos taken just before the housekeeper marks the unit cleaned and reports what a supervisor would have caught: streaks on the shower screen, a bed made over a marked sheet, a bin nobody emptied, a bulb still out, a room the photos skipped entirely.
- Whether a changeover is expected. On a same-day changeover the departure photos and the arrival photos are minutes apart, which is exactly when damage gets missed and exactly when it is cheapest to catch. RapidEye compares the departure set to how the unit looked after the previous clean and places anything new inside the stay that just ended, using the booking dates from Eviivo.
- Whether the unit needs maintenance or repairs. Eviivo lets a housekeeper report an issue in writing. Written reports are a filter: they carry what the cleaner noticed, thought worth mentioning and had time to type at the end of a shift. RapidEye reads the photo instead, which carries the loose grab rail behind the door and the water stain spreading on the ceiling whether or not anybody typed them.
- Whether staff should take an inventory. The dashboard can tell a housekeeper to count. It cannot tell you what they counted. RapidEye learns what a stocked unit looks like at your property and reports the second towel that never came back, the missing remote, the welcome tray that was never reset, the kettle that moved to another unit.
- Guests who arrive and claim the unit was already like this. The photos from the clean before check-in, dated and tied to the Eviivo booking, are the honest answer to that claim, and much easier to send than to argue.
Each finding names the unit, the spot, the kind of problem, how serious it is, the before and after frames, and a suggested next step. It arrives in the RapidEye dashboard, and in an inbox or a Slack channel if you want it there. What happens next in Eviivo is entirely yours. And photos are simply the easiest place to begin: managers who would rather have cleaners film a walkthrough, or who hold 3D scans of their units, or who want findings scored against their own inspection form, get that set up with us at the start.
How to connect Eviivo to RapidEye
- Your units on the Cleaning Dashboard. The rooms and units that appear on your Eviivo Cleaning Dashboard are the ones RapidEye checks. Whatever your cleaning rules already decide about when and how often a unit is cleaned stays exactly as it is.
- Where the changeover photos come from. Eviivo's housekeeping role is documented as marking a room cleaned and adding notes, not as attaching images, so RapidEye sends a capture link that opens on any phone with nothing to install: a fixed set of angles per room, lights on, taken before the room is marked as cleaned. If your cleaners already photograph units in another app or a group chat, RapidEye reads those instead.
- Add RapidEye as a user. Eviivo supports multi-user access controls for internal and external users, secured by role, team and property set. Add Rapid Eye at support@rapideyeinspections.com with a housekeeping role across the properties you want checked. RapidEye needs to see the units and the dates and nothing financial.
Your cleaners keep the same dashboard, the same instructions and the same routine, plus a few photos before they mark the unit cleaned.
What the Eviivo Cleaning Dashboard records, and what it does not
Checked against Eviivo's product documentation, September 2026.
Eviivo Suite is a booking and property platform used by small hotels, bed and breakfasts, campgrounds and vacation rental managers, and cleaning has its own screen inside it. According to Eviivo's product documentation (eviivo.com), the Cleaning Dashboard is a virtual cleaning calendar for coordinating or assigning housekeeping and maintenance tasks straight from the Suite, it is included with Performance Manager and Owner Manager, and it is designed to be customised with your own columns, cleaning codes among them, and pinned to a wall. It answers six questions at a glance: which units are clean, whether guests are in house or arriving or leaving, whether a changeover is coming, who is assigned, whether maintenance is needed, and whether an inventory is due. Eviivo's automation layer sits behind it, letting you set rules for when, how often and under what circumstances rooms get cleaned, then issuing the instructions and alerts for you.
The most useful thing Eviivo publishes about it, though, is the split of what each role can do. It is unusually specific, and reading the two lists next to each other shows exactly where the evidence stops.
A user with a management role can
- Set the cleaning schedule for the day
- Assign a housekeeper to a given room
- Add cleaning instructions to the booking and the dashboard
A user with a housekeeping role can
- See which rooms they need to clean
- See when a room must be cleaned by
- Mark a room as cleaned
- Add notes to provide feedback
- Report maintenance or inventory issues
Everything in the right-hand list is the cleaner's account of the clean.Instructions go out, the room comes back marked cleaned, and a note may or may not come with it. That is a well-designed loop for coordination, and it is the wrong kind of evidence for condition, because the person reporting is the person being reported on. RapidEye adds the missing input on the left of that loop: the room itself, photographed, read against how it looked last time.
Role capabilities as documented by Eviivo. The paragraph below the two lists is the integration's argument, not Eviivo's.
Does Eviivo hold photos of a clean?
Its documentation describes notes, not images. Across the Cleaning Dashboard page, the operations automation page and the mobile app page, the housekeeping feedback route Eviivo names is written: notes, reported issues, alerts, statuses in real time. The eviivo Mobile page describes the dashboard as a way to check task statuses in real time without having to run around, which is the honest version of what a status can do for you. Elsewhere in the Suite, photos are clearly a first-class object, since the Channel Manager syncs photos, descriptions and amenities out to every OTA. They are marketing photos of what the unit should look like. Nothing in the documentation connects them to what a unit looked like this Saturday afternoon. That gap is not a fault in Eviivo; a booking platform's job is the booking. It is simply the reason a manager running thirty changeovers on a Saturday still has no idea which of the thirty needed a second look, and it is the part the integration fills.
Eviivo integration FAQ
Does RapidEye integrate with Eviivo?
Yes. RapidEye reads the unit list and the booking dates from Eviivo and the photos your cleaners take between two stays, then returns a finding for every unit a housekeeper marked as cleaned: new damage, cleaning that was missed, an item that is gone, a repair worth raising. Your Cleaning Dashboard, cleaning rules, staff roles, notes and bookings stay exactly as they are. RapidEye writes nothing to Eviivo.
Can a cleaner add photos to the Eviivo Cleaning Dashboard?
Eviivo documents notes rather than photos. The Cleaning Dashboard page lists exactly what a housekeeping user can do: see which rooms they need to clean, see when a room must be cleaned by, mark a room as cleaned, add notes to provide feedback, and report maintenance or inventory issues. Photos are not in that list, and the feedback route Eviivo describes is written, from a phone. RapidEye supplies the picture: a capture link that opens in any phone browser with nothing to install, or whatever app your cleaners already photograph units in.
Does Eviivo check whether a unit marked as cleaned was actually cleaned?
No, and it does not claim to. Marked as cleaned is a housekeeping user tapping a control on the Cleaning Dashboard, and Eviivo's automation shapes when a clean is due rather than whether it was done to standard. The dashboard's purpose is coordination: who is assigned, by when, with what instructions. RapidEye reads the photos from that same changeover and reports what they show, so the cleaned column and the state of the unit are two different pieces of evidence instead of one.
We use the Cleaning Dashboard columns for our own cleaning codes. Can RapidEye check against those?
That is the right instinct, and yes. Eviivo lets you add your own columns to the dashboard, and a cleaning code is a standard written down. RapidEye can hold a unit to a standard of your own rather than a generic one: which linen set that unit takes, how many towels, where the welcome tray sits, whether the patio furniture is out. Tell us the codes and what each one means on the ground.
Will RapidEye change bookings, cleaning rotas or owner statements in Eviivo?
No. Eviivo stays the system of record for every booking, rate, rota and statement. Findings land in the RapidEye dashboard and, if you want them there, in an inbox or a Slack channel. Whether a finding becomes an Eviivo maintenance report, a note on the booking, a charge to a guest or a line in an owner statement is your decision, made with the photo in front of you.
Do property owners get to see the findings?
Only if you decide they should. Eviivo already runs on the principle that you control exactly the level of access you give maintenance staff, cleaners and property owners, and RapidEye works the same way: findings are yours first. Many managers share nothing routinely and share one dated before-and-after when an owner asks what happened to the sofa, which is a much better conversation than a written report.
