AI cleaning inspection for Cleanster

RapidEye reviews the before and after photos on every Cleanster booking and tells you which rooms are not guest ready, while those photos still exist.

How Cleanster stores your photos

Overview

A Cleanster booking's before and after photos are a receipt, not a review. They prove a cleaner was in the property and show what the cleaner chose to point the camera at, each with its own timestamp, and Cleanster emails you a link so you can pass them to an owner or a guest. What they do not do is tell you that the third bedroom never appeared, that the same lamp is still broken, or that the throw pillows walked out with the last stay. RapidEye reads those photos along with the property they belong to and the checklist assigned to it, and returns a finding for each room the images say is not guest ready, with the earlier photo of that room alongside the new one.

Every booking reviewedNot the ones you had time to open. Every completed Cleanster booking with photos on it gets looked at the same way.
Rooms that never showed upCleanster checklists are built room by room, so a room with no usable photo is a gap RapidEye can name.
Evidence before it expiresCleanster's help centre says photos automatically delete after 30 days. Findings and their images stay with you.

How it works with Cleanster

Cleanster's own structure does most of the work here. A property lives as a saved address, a checklist is attached to that address, the checklist is organised by room, and the photos come back attached to the booking. RapidEye follows the same shape, so a finding arrives already knowing which home, which room and which cleaning it came from. What follows are examples rather than the boundaries of the product: RapidEye reads whatever documentation your team already produces, photos, video walkthroughs or 3D scans, and reports against whatever standard you care about, so if your situation is not on this list the answer is usually still yes, ask us.

  • The after photos on a completed booking. These are the ones you would open if a guest complained. RapidEye opens all of them: dust and debris left on a surface, a bin not emptied, bedding put back badly, a bathroom fixture still marked, a light that is off in a room where every other photo has it on.
  • The before photos next to them. Cleanster captures both ends of the job, which is exactly the pair that separates damage from mess. A cracked screen or a burn mark present in the before shots is the departing guest's; the same mark appearing for the first time after a clean is a different conversation.
  • The checklist's rooms. Each task on a Cleanster checklist carries a toggle for whether you require a photo from the cleaner. RapidEye reports the rooms where the required photo never arrived, arrived unusable, or shows the task plainly undone.
  • Video, where your cleaners shoot it. Cleanster lets a cleaner attach video to a booking as well as stills, and a slow pan through a room carries more than four framed photos ever will. RapidEye reads video the same way it reads photos.
  • Condition drift across bookings. Because RapidEye builds a picture of each room from your history, it catches the things no cleaner can be expected to remember: a chair that migrated to another room, a set of glasses down to four, an outdoor cushion that has not been in a photo since spring.

A finding names the property, the room, the kind of problem, how serious it is, and shows the earlier image beside the new one. Findings land in the RapidEye dashboard, and in a Slack channel or an inbox if that suits your team better. Nothing is written back into Cleanster: you decide whether that finding becomes a problem logged under Account, a message to the cleaner, a rating, or a charge to a guest. If you want a specific standard checked, an owner's furniture layout, a brand's linen rules, an inspection format of your own, that is something we set up with you rather than something you configure alone.

How to connect Cleanster to RapidEye

  1. Confirm your properties. Under Account, open Properties and check that every home you want reviewed is saved there with its access, supply and parking detail filled in. Saved properties are what findings get attached to.
  2. Confirm where the photos come from. If your cleaners already upload before and after photos to the booking, RapidEye reads those. If a property has no photo habit yet, a RapidEye capture link covers it from any phone, with no app for the cleaner to install and a fixed set of angles to shoot.
  3. Invite RapidEye to your team. In Cleanster, open Account, then Teams, and invite support@rapideyeinspections.com as a View only team member. We accept the invitation from our side.

The photo record on a Cleanster booking

Checked against Cleanster's help centre, September 2026.

According to Cleanster's help centre documentation (cleanster.com), the photos from a job live on the booking itself. You open a booking under Upcoming or Past, tap the photo button, and see the before and after photos, with cleaners able to add video as well as stills. Tapping an individual photo or video reveals its timestamp, and Cleanster separately emails you a link you can share. The help centre is blunt about why this matters: it calls photos and video the best source of truth when reviewing evidence with clients, hosts, guests and Cleanster, and the thing that mostly helps decisions during a dispute.

The catch sits in the same article. All photos automatically delete after 30 days. A Cleanster booking's evidence therefore has a shelf life, and it is shorter than the interval at which most condition problems actually surface.

  • The photos arriveBefore and after stills, and any video, attach to the booking. Each carries its own timestamp when you tap it.
  • The window to objectCleanster asks you to send a message with evidence of an incomplete job within 24 hours of the cleaning, and to rate under 3 stars if you do not want that cleaner matched to you again.
  • The record endsAfter 30 days the photos are gone. A complaint or an owner question that arrives in month two has nothing behind it.

Retention and the 24 hour reporting window are Cleanster's documented behaviour, read from its help centre. The bar is drawn to scale for the 30 day life of the photo record.

Does Cleanster check the photos for you?

It does not, and it does not claim to. Cleanster's help centre documents how to view before and after photos, how to see a timestamp, and how to track a property problem once someone has reported one, under Account, then Problems, where unresolved items sit until a team member toggles them resolved. Reporting is the operative word: a problem exists in Cleanster because a cleaner or a team member opened it. The company's own cleaner vetting article describes an on-field assessment that teaches new cleaners how to report a problem and how to review a client's staging photos, which tells you plainly where the judgement is meant to come from. Nothing in the documentation describes anything reading a finished booking's photos and raising an issue nobody typed.

That is the gap the integration fills. The cleaner who missed something is not the person who will report it, and the manager who would notice is looking at a Saturday with thirty checkouts on it. RapidEye reviews the record while it exists, so an unreported problem becomes a logged one instead of a review three weeks later.

What Cleanster already knows about your property

Quite a lot, and it improves what a review is worth. Cleanster's property documentation asks you to store access and unit instructions, where cleaners dispose of garbage and find supplies, parking notes, specific cleaning notes, and the WiFi details, which the help centre ties directly to letting cleaners upload media without trouble. It also suggests organising a property's photos into sections such as access and staging. Teams give you permission control by property or service provider, with Owner, Admin, Support, View only and Cleaner as the documented permission types, and Cleanster distinguishes between using its own vetted cleaners and bringing cleaners you already employ. RapidEye reads at View only, which is why the invitation in the modal asks for exactly that and nothing more.

Cleanster integration FAQ

Does RapidEye integrate with Cleanster?

Yes. RapidEye reads the before and after photos and videos attached to your Cleanster bookings, along with the property and the checklist assigned to it, and returns a finding for each room the photos say is not guest ready. Nothing changes inside Cleanster: bookings, cleaner assignment, ratings and payment stay exactly where they are, and RapidEye writes nothing back.

Where do Cleanster before and after photos live?

They live on the booking. Cleanster's help centre documents opening a booking under Upcoming or Past and tapping the photo button to see the before and after photos, with cleaners able to add video as well as stills. Tapping an individual photo or video shows its timestamp, and Cleanster also emails a link you can share.

Do Cleanster photos get deleted?

Yes. Cleanster's help centre states that all photos automatically delete after 30 days. That is the practical reason to have something reviewing them while they exist, because a complaint that surfaces two months later has no photo record left to argue from.

Can RapidEye tell whether the cleaner followed my Cleanster checklist?

For anything the camera can see, yes. A Cleanster checklist is built room by room, and each task carries a toggle for whether you require a photo from your cleaner. RapidEye reads the photos those toggles produce and reports the room-level tasks the images do not support, such as a surface still cluttered or a bin that was not emptied.

Does RapidEye work if I bring my own cleaners to Cleanster?

Yes. Cleanster documents two team models, one using its own vetted cleaners and one for bringing cleaners you already employ. RapidEye reads the photos on the booking either way, because the photo record is the same record regardless of who was assigned the job.

Does RapidEye change anything in Cleanster?

No. RapidEye reads and reports. It does not book, reschedule or cancel a job, assign or remove a cleaner, rate a CleansterPro, open a problem, or move money. You decide what to do in Cleanster once you have the finding.
