AI inspections for ALIS

RapidEye reads the community and apartment list from ALIS and the photos your maintenance and housekeeping teams already take, and returns a finding for every apartment that needs one.

What ALIS holds today

Overview

ALIS is the record of the resident and the community, not a record of the apartment's condition. Its modules cover resident and staff records, notes and observations, incidents, compliance, evaluations, care tracking, medications, billing and family engagement, and they cover them thoroughly. What none of them is built to hold is a picture of the carpet in 214 the week before a family tours it. RapidEye connects the two halves: it reads the community and apartment list from ALIS so every finding lands on the right unit, reads the photos your teams take on turns, housekeeping rounds and maintenance visits, and returns a finding per problem with the photos behind it.

Every apartment, on the same standardThe turn in one building is read the same way as the turn in the building two states over.
A dated photo record per unitWhat the apartment looked like before a stay and after it, so a repair or a charge has evidence.
ALIS stays the system of recordNo resident record, incident, evaluation or charge is touched. RapidEye reads and reports.

How it works with ALIS

ALIS organizes a community around residents and the care they receive. RapidEye organizes the same community around its apartments and common spaces, and the two line up on the unit number. These are the checks operators start with, not the edges of the product: RapidEye reads whatever documentation your teams already produce, photos, video walkthroughs or 3D scans, and reports against whatever standard you care about.

  • The apartment turn. Between a move-out and the next move-in, an apartment is stripped, patched, painted and cleaned, usually by three different people on three different days. RapidEye holds the photos from before the last resident moved in and compares them with the photos taken at the end of the turn: scuffed baseboards, a blind with a broken slat, a closet door off its track, a bathroom that was wiped but not cleaned. You get the punch list before a family walks it.
  • Housekeeping and room-readiness rounds. A weekly clean is documented as done or not done. Photos say whether it was done well: the corners, the shower track, the inside of the microwave, the light that has been out long enough for a daughter to notice.
  • Environment-of-care and safety rounds. Corridors, stairwells, common rooms, laundry and the outside of the building. RapidEye flags what a walking round is supposed to catch and often does not on a busy afternoon: a loose grab bar, a threshold lifting, a blocked exit path, a burned-out fixture, a chair with a torn seat. These are conditions of spaces and equipment. RapidEye makes no clinical judgment and reads nothing about a resident.
  • Maintenance work, before and after. When a work order is closed, the photo taken at closing is the only proof the work was done, and it is usually the photo nobody opens. RapidEye compares it with the photo from when the problem was reported and tells you whether the two are actually different.
  • What families and surveyors see. A tour, a visit and a survey all judge the community by physical condition. Reading the photos across every apartment is the only way to know the standard is holding in the units nobody has walked this month.

Each finding names the community, the apartment, the spot, the kind of problem, how serious it is, the photos on both sides of the change, and a suggested next step. It lands in the RapidEye dashboard, and in a Slack channel or the executive director's inbox if you want it there. Nothing is written back to ALIS: your team decides what becomes a work order and what becomes a charge. If your use case is not on this list, or your teams shoot video rather than stills, that is a setup conversation rather than a limit.

How to connect ALIS to RapidEye

  1. The apartment list in ALIS. An ALIS account with your communities and apartments set up, so every finding can be addressed to a real unit number rather than a description.
  2. Where the photos come from. If your maintenance or housekeeping team already photographs apartments in a work order system, RapidEye reads those. If they do not, RapidEye sends a capture link that opens on any phone with nothing to install, for a fixed set of angles per apartment.
  3. Access, with your administrator. Staff access in ALIS is set by your administrator, so we do that step with them. Tell us you run ALIS and how many communities, and your team keeps working the way it works today.

What ALIS holds, and where the apartment sits

Checked against ALIS's own product and FAQ documentation, September 2026.

ALIS, pronounced Alice, stands for Assisted Living's Intelligent Software, and it is built by Medtelligent for assisted living, memory care and independent living operators. According to ALIS's published FAQ documentation (go-alis.com), a community's package is assembled from modules, with one of them required and the rest chosen. Reading that list in order is the fastest way to understand what ALIS is the authority on.

  • ALIS CORERequiredResident and staff records, observations and notes, incident management, compliance, alerting and an advanced calendar. Everything else is built on top of it.
  • ProspectsLead and referral management, tracking and tasks, feeding the move-in packet and the face sheet.
  • MedicationsFull eMAR with pharmacy integration and drug counting.
  • Resident Electronic EvaluationRETFully electronic evaluations with an integrated service plan, care plan and work lists, plus a calendar of reminders so expirations are not missed.
  • Care Tracking and PlanningCare plan management, ADL tracking, PRN care scheduling, time reporting and alerting.
  • Billing and Residency Agreement ManagementInvoice generation, incidental items, rent roll, occupancy reporting and residency agreement tracking, compatible with most general ledgers.
  • ALIS ConnectThe family portal: social posts, menus, activity calendars, medication lists, evaluations, and invoices to view and pay.

Above the community sits ALIS HQ for portfolio reporting, alongside ALIS Pay and the Ask ALIS assistant. Every one of these objects hangs off a resident or a staff member. The apartment appears as an address on a record rather than as a thing with a history of its own, which is exactly what you would expect from a platform whose job is care, compliance and revenue.

Does ALIS handle work orders and maintenance?

Through its App Store, yes. ALIS's product pages describe more than 130 partner integrations and an App Store where communities connect third-party systems to the platform, and Work Order Management is one of its listed categories, alongside Operations, Nurse Call, Visitor Management System, Pharmacy and Clinical Systems. Cubigo, one of the listed apps, describes covering Activities, Maintenance, Housekeeping, Dining and Transportation. So the building side of a community typically arrives through a partner while ALIS holds the resident side, and a maintenance ticket lives in one system while the apartment it describes lives in the other.

That split is why RapidEye reads photographs rather than tickets. It does not need to know which work order system you run, because the apartment is the same apartment in all of them: a room that looked one way in March and looks another way now. What the integration adds is the connective tissue, findings addressed to the ALIS apartment and community, so the person reading them in ALIS HQ and the person doing the turn are looking at the same unit.

Where the environment shows up in ALIS today

In incidents. ALIS's clinical pages describe incident management as tracking and resolving safety events with customizable follow-ups and digitized records for trend analysis and improved safety protocols, which is a genuinely strong record of what happened. A trend line built from incidents is a record of events that already occurred. Reading condition from photos is the other half of the same question: which thresholds, rails, floors and fixtures look like the next one.

ALIS integration FAQ

Does RapidEye integrate with ALIS?

Yes. RapidEye reads the community and apartment list from ALIS so every finding lands on the right apartment, and reads the photos your maintenance, housekeeping and turnover teams take. It returns a finding per problem with the photos behind it. Resident records, care charting, incidents, evaluations and billing in ALIS are not changed.

Does ALIS handle maintenance work orders?

Work Order Management is one of the categories in the ALIS App Store, which is how ALIS communities connect third-party systems to the platform. ALIS itself is the resident and community record: its listed modules cover resident and staff records, notes, incidents, compliance, alerting, evaluations, care tracking, medications, billing and family engagement. RapidEye works either way, because it reads photos of the apartment rather than the ticket that describes it.

Can RapidEye check an apartment between a move-out and a move-in?

Yes, and that is the check most communities start with. RapidEye holds the photos of the apartment from before the last resident moved in and compares them with the photos taken after the turn: carpet, walls, blinds, grab bars, closet doors, the bathroom. You get a list of what is different, so the apartment is finished before a family walks it rather than after.

Does RapidEye look at residents?

No. RapidEye reads the condition of spaces and equipment: rooms, corridors, fixtures, furniture, floors, doors and the things a community is responsible for maintaining. It makes no clinical or care judgments, and it is not a monitoring product. Anything about a resident stays in ALIS, where it belongs.

Will RapidEye change anything in ALIS?

No. ALIS stays the record. RapidEye reads the apartment list so findings are addressed correctly, and reports back into the RapidEye dashboard and, if you want it, a Slack channel or an executive director's inbox. What happens next in ALIS is a decision your team makes.

We run several communities on ALIS. Does RapidEye work across the portfolio?

Yes. Findings carry the community and the apartment, so a regional director can see condition the way ALIS HQ shows performance: every community on the same standard, without visiting each building to find out which one is drifting.
