AI photo inspection for TIDY

Read the before and after photos your pros submit on every TIDY job, and get back a finding for each thing the checklist said was done and the photo says was not.

How TIDY Remote Inspections work

Overview

TIDY collects better job evidence than almost anything else in this category, and then hands it to you unread. Remote Inspection puts before and after photos on the job, every one stamped with location, date and time. Checklist items come back ticked. Custom fields return typed answers. All of it is produced by the pro on site, and all of it lands in Job History, where the volume is the problem: a hundred photos a week per property that nobody opens until something goes wrong. RapidEye reads the property, room and date from TIDY along with those photos, and returns a finding for each problem in them.

The photos already existRemote Inspection is doing the capture. Nothing changes for your pros, and no new app lands on anyone's phone.
The tick, checkedA green checkbox is a claim. The photo behind it either supports the claim or becomes a finding.
TIDY stays the managerNo job, checklist, pro record, schedule or property setting is written to. RapidEye reads and reports.

How it works with TIDY

TIDY organises work by the job and the room, so the findings come back that way too.

  • Rooms, because your cards are tied to rooms. When a checklist card is associated with a room, TIDY keeps a history of items completed for that room. RapidEye keeps a picture of what that room looks like right, and a finding names the room the way you named it.
  • Before against after, on the same job. Remote Inspection can require photos on both ends. The pair is what makes a mess separable from a miss: something present before and gone after was cleared, something absent before and present after arrived during the job.
  • After against last time. The comparison TIDY does not make. This Tuesday's living room against every previous Tuesday tells you the couch arm was fine in June and is torn now, and which stay it happened in.
  • Assets you already track. TIDY holds the equipment in each property as part of its digital twin. If the dryer, the grill or the mattress protector is in the frame and is damaged, missing or replaced with something else, that is a finding with the asset named.
  • Restocking counts, verified. A Take Inventory custom field asks the pro to count the plates. RapidEye reads the shelf and says whether the count matches, so a low stock alert is triggered by the cupboard rather than by a guess at the end of a shift.
  • Turnovers and move-outs both. The same read works whether the property is on a nightly, monthly or annual strategy in TIDY, because the question is the same: what does this space look like now compared to when it was right.

Each finding names the property, the room or spot, the type of problem, how serious it is, the photos behind it, and a suggested next step. The RapidEye dashboard holds it; Slack or email can carry a copy. You decide what happens next inside TIDY: book the repair, raise it with the pro, note it, or nothing. If your pros shoot video rather than stills, if you run a walkthrough format of your own, or if the standard you hold properties to is unusual, that is a setup conversation with us rather than a limit on the product.

How to connect TIDY to RapidEye

  1. A TIDY account with the properties you want read. Your properties as they already sit in TIDY, with the rooms and checklists you have set up on them. Nothing needs rebuilding.
  2. Remote Inspection turned on for those checklists. TIDY disables Remote Inspection on checklists by default, and a checklist needs at least one item for it to work. Turn it on for the lists you care about and choose photos before the job, after the job, or both. If a property is not on a checklist yet, a RapidEye capture link opens on any phone with a fixed set of angles per room.
  3. Add RapidEye as a user. Add us in TIDY under Users. The Connect modal on this page has the path and the details.

What a TIDY job records, and what it does not

Checked against TIDY's property manager documentation, September 2026.

TIDY is property operations software with an on-demand pro network behind it, and its unit of work is the job: a cleaning, a maintenance visit, a restock, an inspection. According to TIDY's property manager documentation (tidy.com), a job carries a checklist made of cards, and those cards can be associated with a room, which is what gives you a per-room history rather than a per-job one. Here is what accumulates as one job runs.

  1. The checklist is attachedBy property, by job type, or account wide. Items can carry photo notes showing the pro what right looks like, and time estimates that TIDY seeds from similar items elsewhere.
  2. Before photosif enabledRemote Inspection is off on checklists by default. Switched on, it can require photos or videos before the job, after the job, or both, and each one records the location, date and time it was taken.
  3. Checklist progress, liveFrom the Schedule page you can watch items tick over as the pro works: green for completed, red for not. Most important items are highlighted for the pro.
  4. Custom field answersStructured questions the pro answers on site. Not mandatory unless you switch on Require Custom Fields and mark each field required.
  5. After photosif enabledSubmitted at completion, added to the same job. You or the pro can add or remove photos and videos on the job afterwards.
  6. Job HistoryEverything lands here: notes, messages, completed checklist items, photos and videos, exportable as a PDF or shareable as a public link. Filterable by property and date range.

Read that list closely and the shape of the gap appears at the last step. Everything up to Job History is capture, and TIDY is genuinely good at it. Nothing in the list is a read. The photo is filed, not examined, and the only judgement anywhere in the sequence was made by the person being judged.

What are TIDY custom fields, and can they catch damage?

They can ask about it, which is not the same thing. TIDY's documentation lists the field types a pro can be given: a free text area, a select or multi-select, a number for taking inventory, and a Take Photos field. Its own examples are the honest ones, questions like whether there is mould, how many plates there are, and how a pro would rate the condition of something.

Take InventoryThe pro types a count, which updates the quantity on hand and can trip a low stock alert.
Text areaFree text, capped at a 40 character field label.
Select and multi-selectRadio buttons under three options, a dropdown at three or more; multi-select is checkboxes.
Take PhotosRequires a photo of a named thing, one or many, and it shows up in the job report.

Every one of these except the last is an answer, and an answer is only as good as the incentive of the person giving it. TIDY says as much between the lines: custom fields are not mandatory by default, and making them mandatory brings its own trouble, since a flat battery or no signal can stop a pro finishing a job. The Take Photos field is the one that produces evidence rather than testimony. That is the field RapidEye is built to read.

Does TIDY review the photos for you?

It collects and files them. TIDY's inspections documentation describes attaching photo and video checks to a job, booking stand-alone inspection jobs with approved pros, and attaching the finished report to the property and the related job. The reporting section covers building and filtering tables of operational data, including job prices. Both are about organising what came in. Neither describes anything looking at a photo and saying the bathroom is not clean. On a handful of properties an owner does that themselves on a Sunday. Past a few dozen, the photos stop being reviewed at all, and the evidence you paid to collect only gets opened after a guest complains.

TIDY integration FAQ

Does RapidEye integrate with TIDY?

Yes. RapidEye reads your TIDY property list and job dates and the before and after photos your pros submit through Remote Inspection, then returns a finding per issue: damage, a missed item, something missing, or a maintenance problem, with the photos behind it. Your checklists, jobs, pros, schedule and property records in TIDY are unchanged.

Which photos in TIDY does RapidEye read?

The ones Remote Inspection collects. TIDY's documentation says you enable Remote Inspection on a checklist and choose photos or videos, before the job, after the job, or both, and that every photo and video carries the location, date and time it was taken. RapidEye reads those, plus any photos a pro submits through a Take Photos custom field, and the ones already sitting in Job History.

Does TIDY already tell me if a pro missed something?

It tells you what the pro said. A completed checklist item is a green checkbox the pro ticked, and a custom field answer such as whether there is mould is typed by the same person. TIDY's documentation is explicit that custom fields are not mandatory by default. RapidEye reads the photo instead of the answer, so a ticked item with a dirty photo behind it becomes a finding.

Can RapidEye tell me what changed between two TIDY jobs at the same property?

Yes, and that is the main reason to connect it. TIDY keeps every past job and its photos in Job History, but comparing this Tuesday's kitchen to the last four is manual. RapidEye holds a baseline of what each room looks like right and reports what moved, broke or disappeared, naming the job the change first shows up in.

Does RapidEye replace TIDY's damage claim process?

No. TIDY runs its own damage claim process with its own reporting window, and that stays exactly where it is. What RapidEye adds is the part that window depends on: noticing the damage in the first place, from the job photos, rather than the next time somebody walks the property.

Will RapidEye change my checklists, jobs or pros in TIDY?

No. TIDY stays the manager. Nothing is edited, booked, cancelled or rated. RapidEye reads and reports, and you decide what to do about a finding inside TIDY.
