AI photo review for Taqtics audits
RapidEye reads the answer attachments your outlet teams capture on Taqtics processes and audits, and returns a finding for every problem in the frame, whether or not a question asked about it.
How a Taqtics submission worksOverview
A Taqtics submission is a precise answer to the questions your template asked; it is not a description of everything the camera saw. Taqtics carries the store, the process or audit, the submitter, question-level timestamps, weighted scoring, and the photographs attached to the answers, and it turns failures into action points and issue tickets with owners and deadlines. What no template can do is ask about the thing nobody predicted: the crack that opened in the prep counter this month, the chair that never came back from the storeroom, the scorched patch on the wall behind the grill. RapidEye reads the same photographs against a baseline for that store area and returns one finding per problem, tied to the store and the submission it came from.
How it works with Taqtics
Taqtics separates the recurring routine from the point-in-time assessment: processes are the daily checklists an outlet team works through, audits are the scored assessments an area manager runs on top of them. Both collect photographs, and both are read the same way. What follows is where the reading lands in the shape Taqtics already has.
- Opening and closing processes. The same prep station, pass, cold storage and restroom, photographed at the same two moments every day. Read as a sequence rather than as isolated frames, that is where condition drift shows: a gasket perishing on the walk-in door, grout going black in the corner behind the sink, a hood filter that has not been swapped since spring. The finding names the outlet, the area and what changed.
- Store audits with critical questions. A critical question in Taqtics can fail an audit on its own, which is exactly right for the controls you can name in advance. RapidEye takes the rest of the frame: the photograph proving the handwash station is stocked also contains the wall behind it, the floor under it and the ceiling tile above it. One picture, several answers, only one of which was asked for.
- Answer attachments as claim evidence. Where a photograph is attached to an answer with a timestamp, you have a dated record of that area on that shift. RapidEye holds the last known state of the same spot, so a scratch that was already there in July is not charged to the contractor who came in August, and a new one is.
- Action point and ticket closure proof. Taqtics asks for resolution evidence before an action point or an issue ticket closes. RapidEye reads the closure photograph against the one that opened the item, so "repainted" is a comparison rather than a claim, and a fix that did not hold surfaces the next time the area is photographed.
- Assets on the floor. Taqtics keeps a register of fixtures, equipment and devices with owners, QR codes and service history. RapidEye reads the condition of that same equipment as it appears in ordinary shift photos, which is usually well before it appears in a breakdown ticket.
- Visual merchandising and brand standards. Taqtics already reviews VM submissions against the approved guideline and flags likely display deviations for the VM team to validate. RapidEye works on the layer underneath the display: the state of the fixture, the wall, the floor and the lighting it is sitting in.
A finding names the store and the area, where in the frame the problem is, what kind it is (damage, cleaning, display, or something missing), how bad it looks, the before and after photographs, and a suggested next step. It lands in the RapidEye dashboard, and in a Slack channel or an inbox for the regional team if you want it there. What happens next in Taqtics is yours to decide: an action point, an issue ticket, a note to the franchisee, or nothing at all. Photographs are the starting point rather than the limit, so teams that film a walkthrough of each outlet, that hold 3D scans of a new-store build, or that want findings scored against a brand standard of their own, get that set up with us on the first call.
How to connect Taqtics to RapidEye
- The stores that already run processes and audits. Your entities are set up in Taqtics with the processes and audits you already run assigned to them. Whatever is scheduled today is what RapidEye reads; nothing new gets built and no template gets rewritten.
- Photos on the answers. Turn on the Answer Attachments add-on for the questions where the picture is the point: prep stations, cold storage, restrooms, the pass, the dining floor. If an outlet attaches no photos today, a RapidEye capture link goes out instead, opening on any phone with nothing to install and asking for a fixed set of angles per area.
- Add RapidEye as a user. In Taqtics, go to Creator Mode, then Manage Users, then Add User, and add Rapid Eye against the entity you want read, with a designation that carries reporting visibility. The modal has the exact fields.
That is the whole setup. Outlet teams open the same Tasks list and work the same checklist, and the first findings follow the first submissions.
How a Taqtics submission is built, reviewed and closed
Checked against Taqtics's knowledge base and product pages, September 2026.
Taqtics is an operations platform for multi-location retail, restaurant and hospitality teams, and a trademark of Peachy Technology Group. According to Taqtics's knowledge base documentation (taqtics.co), a template is assembled in Creator Mode from question types (short and long answer, numeric with range validation, single and multiple answer, plain and scoring dropdowns, and grid, calculation-grid and dynamic-grid tables) and then given add-ons. The add-ons are the part worth studying, because each one was designed to settle a different question about the work.
| Add-on | What Taqtics documents it for | What it establishes on its own |
|---|---|---|
| Attach a file | A reference image or file shown next to the question during submission so the submitter can see what is expected. Taqtics's own example is the shape and quality of a bun. | The standard, written down and pictured. RapidEye uses it as the standard to read the photograph against. |
| Answer attachments | The submitter uploads a file as part of the answer, which can be an image, and it can be made mandatory with a Required checkbox. | Everything in the frame, if someone opens it. Across a few hundred outlets nobody opens them all, and this is what RapidEye reads. |
| Timestamp | Records when each question was answered, so a checklist worked through the day can be told apart from one backfilled in five minutes. The timestamps show up in the process reports. | When the photograph was taken, which is what makes a change between two photographs attributable to a stretch of time. |
| Trigger action point | A follow-up task linked to the question, either raised by the submitter or generated automatically when a configured option such as Non-Compliant is selected, carrying a title, assignee, priority and due date. | That a named failure was routed to an owner. It fires on the answers the template anticipated. |
| Allow commenting | A note alongside the answer explaining why something was marked non-compliant, optionally mandatory. | What the submitter chose to write down. |
| Mark as N/A | A skip button for questions that do not apply at that outlet, such as a fridge temperature where there is no fridge. | That the question was not relevant. The area may well have been photographed anyway. |
| Add instruction | A short note, optionally with an image, shown with the question to give the submitter context before answering. | That the person holding the phone was told what to look for. |
Add-ons and their documented purpose as described in Taqtics's knowledge base. The right-hand column is our reading of what each one settles by itself.
The review ladder
A Taqtics submission does not end at submit. Reviewers sit at numbered levels above the submitter and work from an Approvals inbox, and every reviewer gets the same four default add-ons at every question: a question log, an attachment, an action point and a comment. Here is the run, and where the reading sits inside it.
- Level 0The outlet submitsThe team opens Tasks, picks the store, starts the assigned process or audit and answers. A draft can be saved and resumed, and it syncs between the mobile and web apps. Scoring comes from question weightage times the selected option's percentage. The attachments on that submission are read, against the last known state of the same areas at that store.
- StatusNewThe submission lands in the reviewer's Approvals grid with the store, the submitter, the date, a status and a Time Left countdown that flips to Overdue when the window passes.
- Level 1 and aboveA reviewer opens itThe reviewer reads the answers and the attachments and can complete, send back for correction, or reject where rejection is enabled in the review settings. Taqtics's own guidance to reviewers is to always check attachments before approving.
- StatusCorrectionSent back to a configured lower level for fixes. Taqtics's documented example is returning a submission to the submitter for missing photo evidence.
- StatusCompletedThe reviewer has acted at their level, with bulk approval available for handling many similar rows at once.Findings for that store are already waiting, so the approved audit and the condition of the room are two separate answers to two separate questions.
Does Taqtics support photo evidence on audits?
Yes, and thoroughly. This is not a platform that treats a photograph as an afterthought. Taqtics documents answer attachments that can be made mandatory, per-question timestamps, reference images attached to the question itself, reviewer attachments at every level, and closure proof on action points and tickets. Its restaurant audit pages describe capturing observations with geo-fencing, time-bound submissions, live photos, comments and timestamps, and its visual merchandising module scans submitted store images against the approved guideline and flags likely display deviations for the VM team to validate. So the evidence exists, it is structured, and it is tied to a store and a moment.
What sits outside all of that is the part of the picture nobody wrote a question about. A template asks whether food-contact surfaces were cleaned and sanitised; the photograph proving it also contains the counter edge, the skirting board, the socket cover hanging loose and the strip light that is out. Multiply that by the number of photographs a two-hundred-outlet brand produces in a week and you have a very large, very well-organised archive of your estate's physical condition that nobody has the hours to look through. Reading it is the whole of what RapidEye adds here: same photographs, same submissions, one more pass over them, and a finding when something has changed.
Taqtics integration FAQ
Does RapidEye integrate with Taqtics?
Yes. RapidEye reads the answer attachments captured on your Taqtics processes and audits, along with the store, the submission date and who submitted it, and returns one finding per problem in the frame: damage, a missed clean, a display that has slipped, an item that is not there. Your processes, audits, action points, issue tickets and asset records in Taqtics stay exactly as they are. RapidEye writes nothing back.
Does Taqtics support photo evidence on audits?
Yes, and thoroughly. Taqtics documents an Answer Attachments add-on that lets the submitter upload a file as part of an answer, which can be an image, and it can be made mandatory. Its restaurant audit pages describe capturing observations with geo-fencing, time-bound submissions, live photos, comments and timestamps. Those attachments are exactly what RapidEye reads.
Can RapidEye check a Taqtics audit that scored well?
Yes. A Taqtics score answers the questions the template asked, weighted the way head office weighted them. RapidEye reads the same photographs for what no question asked about: a chipped counter edge behind the compliant handwash station, a light out over the pass, a bin liner not replaced, a chair missing from a set. The finding names the store and the area so the outlet knows where to look.
Will RapidEye change my Taqtics processes, audits or action points?
No. Taqtics stays the system of record. RapidEye does not create or edit a process, an audit template, a submission, an action point, an issue ticket or an asset record. The RapidEye dashboard is where findings live, with Slack or email as optional feeds. Whether a finding becomes a Taqtics action point is your call.
Do outlet teams need to do anything differently?
No. They open the same Tasks list, work the same process or audit, and attach photos the way they do now. The one habit that helps is a fixed set of angles per area, lights on, so the same spots are photographed every shift. If an outlet attaches no photos at all today, a RapidEye capture link opens on any phone with nothing to install.
