What a closed eMaint work order provesOverview
eMaint proves the work was done. It does not claim to tell you what the equipment looks like now. A closed work order carries the asset, the site, the labour hours, the parts, the procedure checkpoints, a timestamp, the technician's name, often a digital signature, and a set of photos. Everything in that list except the photos is machine readable, which is why everything except the photos gets reported on. RapidEye reads the images: the ones from the mobile app, the ones from PM checklists, the ones captured offline in a basement and synced an hour later, along with the asset and the work order behind them. What comes back is a finding per problem, tied to the same asset eMaint already tracks.
How it works with eMaint
The checks follow the shapes eMaint already puts work into. Treat the list as examples rather than limits: RapidEye reads whatever documentation your team produces, video walkthroughs and 3D scans included, and reports against the standard you set for that site. If the job type on your mind is not here, that is a conversation to have, not a no.
- PM checklists and routine inspections. eMaint lets you design them and lets a technician check tasks off and snap a photo as they go. RapidEye reads this month's photo against the same asset's previous rounds and reports what moved: corrosion spreading at a flange, a guard that used to be on, a puddle that has appeared under the same pump three quarters running.
- Corrective work orders. The tech fixes the fault and photographs it. RapidEye reads whether the fault is visibly gone, and separately what else is in the frame that nobody raised a work order for.
- Work requests submitted by QR code. eMaint lets anyone scan an asset QR code to submit a request, often with a photo of what is wrong. That photo is the earliest evidence of the problem and RapidEye reads it as the before image for the job that follows.
- Condition-based PMs. When a sensor threshold trips a PM, the photos taken on that visit are the visual half of the same story the sensor started. RapidEye pairs them with the asset's own picture history.
- Facilities and spaces, not only equipment. Plenty of eMaint accounts run buildings as well as machines. The same reading applies to a plant room, a restroom, a loading dock or a corridor: what is dirty, damaged, missing or unsafe compared with how it looked last time.
Each finding names the site, the asset, where in the image the problem is, what kind of problem it is, how serious, and shows the earlier photo beside the new one with what to do next. It lands in the RapidEye dashboard, and in a Slack channel or an inbox the maintenance office already watches if you want it there. What you do with it in eMaint is yours: raise the follow-up work order, adjust the PM interval, or nothing at all. And if your team documents in a format not named here, we set that up with you.
How to connect eMaint to RapidEye
- The sites and assets you want covered. Most teams start with the assets carrying the most PM volume, because a schedule repeating against one asset gives the cleanest history to read from day one.
- The photos your technicians already upload. From the mobile app, on work orders and PM checklists, including anything captured offline and synced later. For a job type nobody photographs today, RapidEye sends a capture link that opens on any phone, no app to install, a fixed set of angles at the asset.
- Add RapidEye as a user. eMaint says security rights can be as limited as you choose, so the account only needs to see work orders and their attachments for the sites above. The modal has the details.
What a closed eMaint work order actually proves

eMaint is the CMMS from Fluke Reliability, which describes it as enterprise-grade CMMS and EAM software for maintenance teams that need to scale operations and maximize asset uptime, and pairs it with Fluke condition-monitoring sensors. It is a strong system of record, and its own documentation is unusually clear about what that record contains. According to eMaint's product documentation (emaint.com), every work order, PM completion and asset record change is automatically logged with a timestamp, user attribution and an action record, and approvals are captured with a full electronic signature.

The left column is what a CMMS is for and eMaint does it well. The right column is not a gap in eMaint; it is a gap in the workflow, and it exists at every maintenance operation on every platform, because reading pictures at volume was not a thing software could do until recently. That is the half RapidEye takes.
Can eMaint force a photo before the work order closes?
Yes. eMaint says photo documentation and measurement entries can be configured before the system allows the work order to be closed, and that digital signatures can be required for work order completion, with only authorized personnel able to approve, close or modify specific record types. So the photo is guaranteed to exist. Whether it shows a finished job is a separate question, and it is the one an inspection layer answers.
Where the photos come from
The eMaint mobile app, mostly. eMaint offers native apps for both iOS and Android, and states that eMaint mobile works fully offline: a technician can view work orders, update job status, take photos, scan assets and access equipment history without a connection, and everything syncs automatically once back in range. That offline behaviour matters more than it sounds. The jobs done where there is no signal, plant basements, roof plant, tunnels, remote sites, are exactly the ones nobody walks out to re-inspect, and they arrive in eMaint with photos anyway.
How PMs are triggered, and why that is useful to read
eMaint schedules preventive maintenance three ways, and each produces a different kind of picture history.
eMaint also ships eMaint AI, which reads your maintenance history, work orders, failures, sensor data and asset performance, and which eMaint is careful to frame as recommending while your team decides. That is a different input from the one RapidEye takes. History and sensor readings do not contain the stained ceiling tile behind the pump. Pictures do, and nothing else in the record does.

Does RapidEye integrate with eMaint?
Yes. RapidEye reads the photos and videos your technicians attach to eMaint work orders and PM checklists, along with the asset, the site, the dates and who uploaded them, and returns a finding per problem with the images it came from. Your work orders, PM schedules, procedures and asset records in eMaint are not changed.
Can eMaint require a photo before a work order is closed?

Will RapidEye change work orders or PM schedules in eMaint?
No. eMaint stays the record for work orders, PM schedules, procedures, assets and parts. RapidEye reads the images and reports back, and your planner decides whether to raise follow-up work.

Yes. Every finding carries the asset and the site it came from, because the work order it came from does. A regional manager sees the whole portfolio, a site manager sees their own plant, and the same standard is applied at both.
