How the Bizimply Shift Log worksOverview
The Bizimply Shift Log is an account of the shift, not a picture of the room. It holds a rating and a synopsis, the key staff, the daily task lists your team ticks off on MyZimply, and every maintenance issue raised against a piece of equipment, all filed by location and by date. Photos can be attached at several of those points, and once attached nothing looks at them again. RapidEye reads your location list and shift dates from Bizimply, reads those photos, and returns a finding for each problem it can see: a filthy prep surface, a chipped table edge, a missing extinguisher, a bin that never went out.
How it works with Bizimply
Bizimply already breaks the shift into named places where something gets recorded, so the checks sit on those places rather than asking anyone for a new routine.
- Daily Task Lists. The opening or closing list, due by a time you set, ticked or crossed item by item on MyZimply and locked once it is finished. RapidEye reads the picture attached at the end of that list and says whether the pass line, the cellar, the toilets and the front of house match what was ticked.
- Maintenance issues. An issue raised against a piece of equipment carries a description, an action taken and a file. RapidEye reads that file and tells you what the damage actually is, and it also catches the issue nobody raised, because the cracked door seal was in the corner of a photo taken for another reason.
- The shift synopsis. A closing manager writes what happened in words, and words are where a bad night gets smoothed. The findings for that same site and date sit beside the synopsis so an area manager reads both.
- Across the estate. Findings arrive tagged by location, so a Location Group of sites reads as one list. Twenty locations get judged on the same evidence rather than on which manager writes the fullest synopsis.
- Condition over time. The same corner of the same room, week over week, is how you see a table edge going, a wall scuffing, a gasket perishing. Bizimply keeps every shift by date, which is exactly the spine that comparison needs.
A finding names the site and area, where it is in the frame, the kind of problem, how bad it looks, the photos behind it, and a suggested next step; it lands in the RapidEye dashboard and, if you want, a Slack channel or an area manager's inbox. You decide whether it becomes a Bizimply maintenance issue or a conversation with the site. These are examples rather than limits: if your teams shoot video walkthroughs, run a line check format of your own, or care about a standard specific to your brand, that is something we set up with you.
How to connect Bizimply to RapidEye
- Your locations, with the Shift Log switched on. The Shift Log is part of Bizimply's Operations Management Suite and an Account Administrator turns it on in the App Centre; that is where Daily Task Lists and issues live. Locations you do not run shifts in stay out of scope.
- A source for the shift photos. If your closing managers already attach a picture when they finish a task list, RapidEye reads those. If nobody photographs the room today, RapidEye sends a capture link that opens on any phone with nothing to install, and the same person adds a fixed set of angles before they hit Finish and Close.
- RapidEye added as a user. Add us from the Employee tab and give us a Role with Shift Log access, the way you would an area manager. The connect panel has the details.
What a Bizimply maintenance issue actually records
Checked against Bizimply's help centre, September 2026.
Bizimply is workforce software for hospitality and retail: scheduling, time and attendance, payroll, core HR and team communication, with clock-ins verified on a Timestation by PIN, GPS or photo capture. The Shift Log is the operations half. According to Bizimply's help centre documentation (bizimply.com), a maintenance issue can be raised two ways, from the Services tab against a named piece of equipment or from the Maintenance Issues box inside the Shift Log, and both open the same form. It is a thorough form, and reading it field by field is the clearest way to see what the record can and cannot settle.
Every field above is well designed for the job it was designed for, which is routing a known problem to the supplier who fixes it. None of them is a way of finding the problem in the first place.
Can you attach photos in Bizimply, and does anything read them?
Yes to the first, and no to the second, and that is the whole opportunity. Bizimply documents photos in three separate places: the Timestation captures a photo at clock-in alongside a PIN, an issue takes a file attachment that is filed under the relevant equipment, and on MyZimply, once every task on a Daily Task List has a tick or an x, the person closing it can attach a file, with the option to take a picture, before Finish and Close locks the list. What none of the documentation describes is anything that looks at the resulting image. The picture is stored against the record and the record moves on.
That leaves a specific gap, and it is a workflow gap rather than a product one. The closing manager is the person with an incentive to say the close went fine, and the area manager who would doubt that is at another site or at home. A photo taken by the first is only useful to the second if somebody actually opens it, and at twenty sites a night nobody does. RapidEye is the reader: it takes the images your team is already allowed to attach and turns them into findings an area manager can act on before the opening shift walks in.
Who can see what
Bizimply's permissions are granular enough that the reporting lands where you want it. Roles are built under Account Access, either edited from Bizimply's defaults or created new, with each function switched on or off and a Choose Options panel underneath. For the Shift Log those options include whether a Role can add issues and whether it can view other people's issues, and there is a separate setting for how long the Shift Log stays editable, so an entry cannot be quietly rewritten a week later. Roles are assigned per location on the employee's Roles tab, and Location Groups extend a Role across a set of sites. An employee starts on No Role and sees nothing until you give them one.
Bizimply integration FAQ
Does RapidEye integrate with Bizimply?
Yes. RapidEye reads your location list and shift dates from Bizimply, along with the photos your team attaches to a Daily Task List or a maintenance issue, and returns a finding for each problem it sees in the room: what it is, where it is, how bad it looks, and the photos that prove it. Your rotas, timecards, Shift Log entries and payroll records in Bizimply stay exactly as they are.
Can you attach photos to a Bizimply Daily Task List?
Yes. Bizimply's help centre documents that on MyZimply, once every task on the list has a tick or an x, the person closing the list can attach a file, and that attaching includes the option to take a picture. The same is true of an issue logged through the Shift Log or the Services tab, where an attached file is saved to the Documents tab for that piece of equipment. Bizimply stores those photos. Nothing in Bizimply reads them.
How do I know a closing checklist in Bizimply was actually done?
Bizimply tells you the list was closed, by whom, and against a due-by time, and it emails a chosen recipient the status. What it cannot tell you is whether the fryer was actually degreased or the cellar floor mopped, because a tick is a claim by the person on the clock. RapidEye reads the photo attached to that closed list and says what the room looked like when it was taken.
Does RapidEye change anything in Bizimply?
No. Bizimply stays the system of record for the shift. RapidEye does not touch a rota, a timecard, a Shift Log entry, a task list status or a payroll record. It reads and reports back, and an area manager decides whether to raise a maintenance issue or reopen a standard with the team.
We run twenty sites on Bizimply. Can RapidEye compare them?
Multi-site estates are exactly what it serves. Bizimply already groups your estate by location and by Location Group, so findings arrive tagged the same way. An area manager can see which of their sites are drifting on cleanliness or condition, rather than judging twenty locations by whichever manager writes the most detailed synopsis.
Our team already takes photos on MyZimply. Do they have to change anything?
No. If the closing manager already attaches a picture when finishing a task list, RapidEye reads those. Where a site takes no photos today, RapidEye can send a capture link that opens on any phone with nothing to install, so the same person closing the shift adds a fixed set of angles before they hit Finish and Close.
